Summary:

Of course it’d be like this. Akechi’s used these past two weeks to care for Akira, but he didn’t bother to notice how he’s slowly crumbling too. Like a proud tall statue made of marble, wearing beneath time.

This was supposed to be purely professional. After the apocalypse hit, the world has been ravaged by a nightmare, turning most of humanity into hostile monsters ravenous for human flesh.

As Akira and Akechi travel across the country together, both determined to bring back the world as they knew it, their lives begin to intertwine and they start to realize just how alike a boy from riches and a boy from rags can really be.

…This was supposed to be purely professional. But Akira is special in more ways than one. Akechi never stood a chance.
