Summary
Voldemort is not the true danger. Not really.
The real threat is what’s already happened: the Ancient Empires of Magic have fallen, their wisdom forgotten, their wonder reduced to a line in a textbook and bureaucracy. The world has grown smaller. Colder. And Magic—real Magic—is dying.
But not all legacies fade.
Raised in the past by the Founders of Hogwarts, trained by The Emrys himself, Harry returns to the present not just to end a war, but to reclaim a throne long thought lost. He is the Heir to Avalon, The Once and Future King of an empire that the world no longer really remembers.
And the Balance is done waiting.
(A canon-divergent, OP!Harry Merlin xover with mythic rebirth, ancient magic, and one tart-tongued teenager trying to resurrect wonder in a world that no longer believes.)
