They’d heard about each other. Of course they had. It would have been hard to avoid, with how small the competitive hockey world was. They were often thought to be one in the same. Two sides of the same coin. They were equals; natural-born enemies. Tim hated every second of it.

Not the “best in the world” part — he would never get tired of that. Rather, the countless comparisons painted between him and Conner fucking Kent.

    Or,
Tim and Kon are both professional hockey players in a world that wants to do nothing but isolate them from each other. They try to find themselves, somewhere in the midst of dozens of games, press interviews, and this stupid athletic feud that just won't let up.

    Summary

Jason Todd is really good at his job. He's not so good at... well... being good.

Instead of surviving on the streets, Jason finds himself trafficked to Two-Face's gang, where his small size and breaking and entering skills keep him valuable. Three years later, with all his escape attempts frustrated and his future looking bleak, Jason is hand-picked for a suicide mission into Cadmus. Jason could maybe figure out a way out if it were just him. Maybe. But now Batman is shot and cuffed in his cell, and things just got much more complicated.

TLDR: Jason Todd is a twelve-year-old criminal genius, which leads to him getting adopted last of the Wayne brood.

The woman gasped at him like he'd thrown acid at her, taking a step back and dragging her son with her. "What kind of person uses language like that in front of somebody else's child? I'll call the police and have you done for harassment, you know!"

"Lady, you're in our building and refusing to leave us alone," Jason snapped back at her tiredly, putting a hand on his hip and tilting his head to the side. "Call the police, I fucking dare you; we'll see who they think is the problem here."

Somehow, Jason Todd gets into a fight with the head of his local PTA. Somehow, this ends up with his estranged family figuring out that he's not dead anymore. Somehow, Damian is the one that is inconvenienced the most by all of these events.

    Summary

Tim's dad is dead, killed by a boomerang to the chest, and Tim is an orphan now. He knows Bruce would adopt him if needed but he couldn't possibly impose himself on the Wayne's more than he already has. It's okay though, because he has a plan for this, he just needs someone to play the role of his estranged "Uncle Eddie".

Except... the guy he hires is weirdly concerned about his well being and Tim can't figure out why.

Meanwhile, Jason Todd is forced to reevaluate his plans for his debut as Red Hood, because, as it turns out, his replacement is a suicidal idiot who can't be trusted to stay out of trouble.

    OR

Tim Drake fails to recognize Jason Todd, back from the dead, and hires him to be his Uncle Eddie to avoid getting adopted by Batman. Somehow this ruins everyone's plans.
