Summary
The Mandalorian Wars have dragged on for over a decade. Republic Forces are pressing the advantage given by Revan's brutal tactics, and every day the Mandalorians are losing more ground. Now they are on the brink of losing Althir III, the first planet they took in the wars and a major industrial center. The Republic can see victory on the horizon and an end to the Mandalorian terror that has been plaguing their systems for the past 18 years.
But being on the ground looks very different. Luke Skywalker is fighting for the Republic on Althir III. He is seeing what Revan's brutality looks like in person and the terrible impact it's having on soldiers and Jedi alike. On the other side of the war-torn city, Ezra Bridger and Din Djarin are seeing inexcusable things from their leaders as well.
All three of them have to decide what their breaking point is, and what kind of future they can find when they have let go of the loyalties they have built their lives around.

Summary
After nine years lost in the Unknown Regions, Ezra is having trouble adjusting to being back. At Ahsoka's suggestion, he goes to stay with a Jedi master that she knows. He's expecting some wise and experienced general, but what he gets is Luke, who's no older or wiser than Ezra and has his own problems to deal with. Ezra isn't the only guest at the school either. The Mandalorian is already there with Grogu, struggling to understand a weapon and a culture that are unlike anything he's experienced before. Ezra's arrival changes the dynamics of the school for the better though, and the three of them find that it's easier to work through their problems when they're not doing it alone.
This serves as a prequel to my Tumblr comic series of the same title. It's in the same timeline as my other fic,
