Summary:

Admiral Piett and General Veers are dispatched on a top secret mission. Their objective? Retrieve Leia Organa at all costs and with utmost secrecy. This includes keeping her capture from the Emperor. Barely two weeks after Bespin, they aren't sure of anything anymore, especially since Vader captured Luke Skywalker in Cloud City.

    Summary

    He DID owe his dearest friend something and so, in order to protect Firmus Piett, newly promoted Captain of the Executor, Veers did not tell him anything of his intentions, knowing that Darth Vader could read his mind and see the truth.
    This makes things very awkward indeed when Veers and Princess Leia Organa run into said Captain in unexpected circumstances.
