Some may think it odd that a flower shop could be run by a Jedi - Luke disagrees.

“Luke,” Luke blurts, all semblance of calm he had been working to maintain gone. He fumbles to tuck some of his hair behind his ear as a distraction before he tries again. “My name is Luke.”

Luke doesn’t tell him he’s the only one that runs the shop with his droid. There’s no need to ask for him, ever, but Luke wants him to.

The Mandalorian nods again. “Thank you.” Then, almost a forced afterthought: “Luke.” After, he’s gone, the bell tinkling over the door and sunlight shining off the polished armor as he steps out.

Luke leans over the counter, stretching to catch a glimpse of the man again before the crowds of Galactic City swallow him from sight.

    Anthology containing:

    ‘Fraidy Cat

Din has ridden this thing five times now.

Grogu loves it - for some reason, the kid just laughs and claps at all the actors that jump down from the trees or hang off the side of the truck, no matter what kind of costume they’re wearing. Din’s pretty sure Grogu made friends with the teen in the werewolf mask, and honestly, he isn’t surprised.

    Meeting the Duke of Naboo

“Do you not know how to answer the phone like a normal person? Whatever happened to saying hello?” Leia grouses; Din snorts a quiet laugh. “Why do I need to cover for you? Are you bailing on dinner?”

“No, we’ll be there,” Din interrupts.

“Oh yes, Din’s there! Perfect; hi Din!” Leia calls, the smile evident in her voice. “Dad’s going to be thrilled to finally meet you.”

“Yeah, about that,” Luke interrupts, swatting a hand against Din’s bicep to stop him from cutting in when Din opens his mouth to protest. “I changed my mind. We’re turning around.”

“Luke, come on,” Leia says. There’s shuffling on the other side of the line, then Din can hear Leia’s heels clicking on tile as she walks; a moment later, there’s the soft click of a door being shut. “You can’t do this to him, ” she continues, her voice pitched low.

    Home, Soon

    It’s Friday night.

Luke usually stays over on Friday; Din never thought he would have something as sweet and routine as a night of the week his boyfriend stays with him, but he does. He never thought he would have a boyfriend he wanted to stay over, if he’s being honest - let alone one as kind, sweet, and wonderful as Luke Skywalker - but he does.

It’s Friday night and Din is so, so late.

    Lovesick Fool

“Leia,” Luke croaks, cradling his phone between his shoulder and cheek. “Come get me.”

“What? Why?” She asks, dubious; Luke hears her shuffling things around on the other side of the line and sniffles, wondering why she doesn’t sound more concerned that he’s trying to get a ride somewhere sounding like he’s drowning.

“Because I feel like shit,” he replies wryly. A passerby slows to look at him, narrowing their eyes, and Luke offers a thin smile in return before they continue on. “Please?”

“No, that’s what your boyfriend is for,” Leia answers, tone distracted. The shuffling grows louder, pausing before Leia curses. “Is Din busy or something?”

Luke swallows around the scratchy dryness in this throat, further exasperating it before answering. “I - don’t know.”

Leia pauses. “...what do you mean you don’t know? You two live in each other’s pockets, brother mine.”
