He is not who he was, not quite. He's lived too many lives, died too many deaths, mourned too many loves. Yaldaboath twists the world each time the cycle starts anew and neither Trickster nor God could say what the world they first came from looks like anymore.
Ren starts the year over in a timeline doomed from the beginning and decides he's needs a rest. A short vacation before he skips ahead to the next year and the next chance to put an end to Yaldaboath once and for all.

Problem with it is that is he lives in a world where love can get him killed. He soon finds himself choking on flowers and unable to tell Akechi how he feels because he's terrified of being rejected. Now Akira has to try leading the Phantom Thieves as he's slowly suffocating on bright red flowers. It doesn't help that Akechi decides he's going to keep an eye on them, so he and Akechi spend even more time together, making his hanahaki even worse. Can Akira survive this year?

“Hello,” the boy says, looking no older than eight. He is absolutely swimming in Akechi’s clothes. His eyes dart between all of them, fear evident behind his gaze, and does his best to give them all a wobbly sort of grin. Akira has worked with enough children to know that it is a telltale sign of someone trying to appear brave.
“Hello!” Ann recovers first, her voice coming out too loud and forced. Akira frowns as the boy noticeably flinches, his eyes watering up. “What’s your name?”
The boy looks down at the black gloves that form a blanket over his small hands. “I’m Goro,” he says softly. “W-where am I? Are you Mom’s friends?”
