But the thing that really cements it into a good, solid Idea comes to him the week after, when he listens to NEWT students arguing about space expansion and inertia charms in the common room. The Idea goes like this:
A) Harry would like to always have food to eat.
a) Harry has money to buy food, but is also scared of money, because Petunia has convinced him that he’s not worth a 3.99 pound sandwich.
b) Harry also doesn’t know how much money he has, or how much money things cost, and would rather avoid this whole “money” thing altogether for as long as he can.
c) Theoretically, food can be grown without using money.:::
AU starting from first year where Harry's a bit more food insecure, doesn't actively hate gardening, and learns about portable greenhouses. Several cascading mistakes later, he's running a food bank as well as the New Hogwarts Orphan Peer Support Group, has developed capital-O Opinions about food quality and preparation, and has a new stoner godfather, which may or may not have something to do with a favor from powerful friends Harry made in the London restaurant underworld as a mysterious out-of-season morel supplier.

Afraid of what The Order might do to a marked Death Eater, he goes into hiding where he remains for years until Harry Potter finds him and sparks his long-lost will to fight.
