Summary
Sidious felt the approaching storm from his perch atop the tallest tower of the former Jedi Temple. He had made it his palace, his stronghold, an ancient nexus of the dark side below and a younger one above. A nexus created by the fury of Vader and the dying screams of ten thousand Jedi that still echoed in the long, high ceilinged corridors if one knew how to listen.
It was a shadow, deeper and darker than any he’d felt; perhaps rivalling his own. As it came closer anticipatory energy ran through him and he drew the Force to him, pulling in every current of emotion that moved its black depths and feeding every scrap of hate and disgust that his own black heart had been able to conjure to the dark side along with them.
Now the shadow climbed the steps and war drums beat through the Force, thundering in Sidious’ ears.
Now it walked the halls and a great dragon spread its wings above him and cast him into darkness so deep even he could not see.
Now the turbolift brought it up and Sidious tasted ozone and ashes on an unnatural breeze.
Darth Vader fulfils his role as a Sith and becomes Emperor, starting with sparing Alderaan.

Then, slipping between Stormtroopers like a living shadow, another man appears.
He’s of modest height and slim build, clad in a black cloak with the hood pulled up over his head. The energy in the room instantly changes as he steps forward, becoming weighted and charged. There’s a sense of raw deference in the way everyone watches him. When the commander from earlier steps forward and tries to speak, the man raises a gloved hand to cut him off without looking, dismissing him as easily as one of the rank and file.
Din’s stomach bottoms out.

only as strong as the warrior next to you
With an indolent air, Luke rests his elbows on the railing, leaning forward to better take in the action.
Below the Mandalorian is already in motion, beskar a glinting contrast to black walls and floors. Luke’s eyes trail him as he moves, bitter and gluttonous. Watching as Din takes stock of the concrete half-walls, helmet tilting upward to survey the turrets above. Exploring terrain before the simulation is initiated, his professionalism unaffected by the tension that still lingers beneath armor.
Compartmentalization is a skill Luke learned involuntarily; a way to cope with the horror that was once his daily existence. Din, by contrast, embodies the very practice of it. That rigid separation between self and other.
The Mandalorian’s inner world is so vast, Luke could get lost in it.

Summary
A rewrite of The Rod is Mightier Than the Lightsaber that takes place in an omegaverse setting.
Vader learns that the Rebel pilot who destroyed the Death Star is not only his son, but an Omega as well. His hopes for their future together as a father-and-son duo co-ruling the galaxy quickly changes into something much darker — after all, Omegas should be cherished and pampered, whether they want to be or not.
Also Din is there, because heats can be a real bitch.
