    Summary

    Anthology containing:

    Home Sweet Home

Time enjoys the peaceful sanctity of his quiet home in a brooding townhouse in the city. When he invites his young relative Twilight to stay with him for a while, he is not prepared for the chaos that invites into his home - or dredges up from his past.

a.k.a. What started as a ridiculous crackfic born on the LU Discord while I was trying to figure out how to write banter and shenanigans among the boys and is gradually becoming more and more dramatic.

Home Sweet Home for the Holidays

As Solstice approached, every year Time’s neighbors would hang twinkling lights in their windows and evergreen boughs from their door. Every year, he thought the displays became more outlandish, just a contest to see whose home would be the most garishly cheerful on the block.

So imagine his face when he came home that evening to find colorful garland wrapped around his railing, a very large evergreen swag obscuring his door, fake plastic icicles dangling from the awning, and every window in the townhouse lined with multicolored lights.

    Every. Single. One.

    And they were blinking.

Home Sweet Home: The Board Exam

Hyrule gets the results of his board exam and promptly holes himself up in Time’s study without a word to the others. The boys can only assume the worst.

Or: The lament of every medical student everywhere at some point.

    Home Sweet Home: Moving Day

Time is relieved to finally be leaving Termina, but there are some things about Termina that he can never leave behind.

    Home Sweet Home: New Neighbors

Standing on the stoop and nervously shuffling her feet, Paya stared up at the brass knocker as though it might bite. Her new neighbors had moved in about a week ago, and it was finally time to introduce herself.

But before Paya could knock, the door was pulled open for her.

    Home Sweet Home: The Brave

Now that Time and the boys have settled in at their new townhouse in Castle Town, things gradually return to their version of ‘normal.’ But when an old enemy rears its head and someone gets hurt, mistrust and confusion threatens to tear their little home apart brick by brick.

Home Sweet Home: Sugar and Spice

“Twilight, you have to get up!!”

It wasn’t the first time that Wild burst into his bedroom and shook him awake. Last time he’d done it was because he’d made ‘the best blueberry pancake ever.’ The time before that, it had only been a small kitchen fire, and they were able to replace the toaster oven without Time noticing.

“Come on, this is an emergency!”

Twilight groaned as he sat up, the room swaying as he did. “What, what’s wrong?”

    “Twilight we have a baby.”

    ***

In which the boys wake up to discover a baby in the house and no one has any idea where she came from.

Home Sweet Home: What Makes You Happy

“Do you think he’d be mad?”

    “‘Dunno.”

“...He might not be, though, right?”

    “‘Dunno.”

Wild hummed quietly, and Twilight could tell by his tone that he was struggling to remain calm.

“Do you think he’d kick us out?”

It’s hard to keep secrets in a townhouse full of nosy roommates. The first time Twilight and Wild got caught wasn’t that big of a deal, but the second time...

    Home Sweet Home: Funeral Derangements

An accident takes Twilight from the household much too soon, and Wild’s friends try everything they can think of to help him cope. When Hyrule lends him one of Legend’s crusty old books, Wild spirals down a research rabbit hole about the Shrine of Resurrection, fueling his denial and giving him the vain hope that maybe he can reverse the irreversible.

And even if Twilight isn’t talking much, smells kinda funny…

… has a pretty big appetite for raw meat…

Wild is just relieved to get his best friend back!

This is a townhouse AU-adjacent story that is fully-written (for once) and updates weekly.

Home Sweet Home: The Drabbles Collection

A collection of short stories and scenes 1k or less that occur in and around the events of main Townhouse AU storyline.

In which nine Links live under one roof in a townhouse owned by Time, and somehow they haven't burned the place down yet.

    Home Sweet Home: Backyard Volleyball

In which the boys play a friendly and definitely not competitive game of volleyball, and certainly no one gets hurt.
