    Gods' gifts and "normal" people

Theodore Nott does not want to join the Death Eaters. Desperately doesn't want to. Desperately enough to execute a plan that includes forgery, an ill thought engagement contract and some time travel. He's only worried about the time travel part.

    He's rightfully worried.

Harry Potter, who is stuck in his relatives' house all summer, receives unexpected help when dealing with the sudden dementors' attack.

Or: Theo meddles with time and accidentally triggers an old Potter ritual that draggs the closest and the most helpful adult Potter into the body of the ritualist. Dorea and Charlus Potter, participants in the war against Grindelwald, that were stuck in a time anomaly for the last eighteen years, are exactly who Harry and Theo need. They are competent fighters, good enough tacticians and most important - they are good, caring adults.

    Saviour and the saved

Without the threat of becoming a Death Eater looming over his head, without his father, and finally meeting the woman after whom he was named, Theo Nott goes to Hogwarts for his fifth year. He is second in line for Black heirship, he's under Potters' care, he can finally stop hiding his interests...

It's much nicer than he expected.

Harry Potter plunges headlong into the complex politics inside and outside Hogwarts, into preparations for the civil war, that is hanging in the air, and, as is typical for teenagers, at the same time gets entangled in his own lovelife. And all that in the year he has to take important exams. Really?

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities,” - Albus Dumbledore

What if Harry made the choice not to ask the sorting hat to put him in Gryffindor?

The lines have been redrawn. His best friend Ron is in Hufflepuff, Hermione has joined Ravenclaw, and Harry is forced into co-inhabitance with Draco Malfoy and Theodore Nott.

But trauma doesn't disappear just because the child now holds a wand. Haunted by the Dursleys, Harry turns to ancient magic to survive Hogwarts' depths, only to discover the cost of such power.

Lightly based on SuperCarlinBrother’s “What if Harry was in Slytherin” video.

I've read a lot of fics where Harry Potter travels back through time and then has to make Tom Riddle fall in love with him–I wanted to switch it up.

Tom Riddle discards the idea of making Horcruxes when he realizes there is an easier option: make the Master of Death fall in love with him. Easy right? There are just a few problems. Featuring: love advice from the Knights of Walpurgis, shenanigans and manipulations, and a very confused Harry Potter.

An incident at the Department of Mysteries sends Harry back through time. He ends up in 1942, alone and determined to get back home. Afraid of causing irrevocable changes to the timeline, he tries to keep a low profile, but staying under the radar isn’t easy when the universe keeps throwing obstacles in his path. There’s a war raging on, the Chamber of Secrets is about to open, House politics are more complicated than he remembers, and he's sorted into Slytherin - the house under Tom Riddle’s control.

Anna Cole has been the matron of Wool's Orphanage since it was first built, and she remembers every child she's looked after. Tom Riddle, however, is an odd one. He's quiet where others are loud, cold where others are warm, and sharp as a pin at the worst moments. But she'll be damned if she'll let him suffer alone.

My stories featuring the Marauders being ride or die in whatever way they find each other.

ngl mostly it's dumb jokes and all crack humour but super intense bromance

    Anthology containing:

James Potter and the oh shit is that Voldemort

James Potter is in his fifth year at Hogwarts when he's kidnapped by a time travelling Sirius who just fell out of the veil. And then his adorable son arrives. Also Voldemort is still a thing.

James is an optimist though so…things could probably be worse?

    Odd Cravings

When Harry asks to go back in time, Death stipulates that he has no influence over bringing life – Harry has to come into the world the way everyone does.

“Ow,” James wheezes, hand coming up to his stomach. “Did someone just sucker punch me in the kidney? What was that?”

[tl;dr Death goes full Zeus and the Marauders are pretty sure James is being possessed by a demon]

    Professor Tommy

When Voldemort applies for the DADA position, Hogwarts has already faced five years of the Marauders and has seen eight teachers leave because of them.

Dumbledore hires Voldemort on the spot.

Severus scoffs. "That is the stupidest-"

Sirius falls into the veil and James is the one to shove him back out. The Marauders then steal away Harry, half-heartedly recruit an irritated Snape and attempt to defeat Voldemort with absolutely no plan at hand but that’s how they usually roll so it should be fine.

    rollin' in the deeeeeeeep

Sirens eat Merfolk - except Harry is a super cute Mer baby and his dad isn't so bad either and really, Remus, I can explain how this happened.

Remus floats in place with his arms crossed, staring Sirius down as the other Siren sheepishly lowers an unconscious James into their nest.

I'm sippin' tea in yo hood

Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald are newly graduated and taking a quick tour of Hogwarts together during the summer when they stumble into a head prefect Tom Riddle. The sixth-year Marauders run past, desperately chasing after an escaped Moony who thinks this is a game and wants to play.

Post-War Harry Potter watches all of this happen in swiftly mounting horror.

    no brain, head empty

    5. Sirius and James are overconfident and blinded by it. They think they're unstoppable, invincible, so they get reckless. Occasionally, only occasionally, Remus needs to remind them that there are dangerous things in the dark.

(One-shots of Marauders being dumb but cute.)

    Harry’s brother is called Tom

Baby Harry is to be sent back in time to grow stronger without the threat of Voldemort’s rule. James of course goes with him, and inevitably Sirius and Remus follow.

But then Harry makes a friend called Tom? Who James then adopts… Wait, Voldemort’s name used to be what?

    Anthology containing:

    snake in the grass

Seventeen-year-old Tom Riddle is in the middle of a fight against Grindelwald when he slips through a crack between dimensions, and lands in the future of an alternate reality where he's the villain.

It's totally fine. He's definitely coping. Really.

    (Not.)

    OR

Dumbledore is positively delighted to have a Tom Riddle of his own, Harry gets a decent guardian, and Tom would like a redo, please.

    the writing on the wall

Last year, all that business with the Philosopher's Stone and finding Voldemort living in a back of a professor's head and Dumbledore's obstacle course from hell, was definitely a fluke, everyone agrees. This year, everyone agrees, absolutely nothing can go wrong.

    OR

Harry and his friends deal with the fact that not everyone appreciates positive change, and also a giant mythological monster. Meanwhile, Tom has to deal with new adult problems, and also all of Harry's problems.

what is easy and what is right

Bad things come in threes, right? By that logic, Harry's fourth year in Hogwarts should be a breeze—both for the students in the school, and their parents outside of it.

Unfortunately, between the Triwizard Tournament, new tensions within the student body, and these disappearances, it seems bad things come it in at least fours after all.

    OR

Harry is selected to be the second Hogwarts Champion, but this is nowhere near as important as the new drama happening in Slytherin. Meanwhile, Tom just wants to enjoy his newfound love life, not deal with the dodgy behaviour of Barty Crouch, thanks.

when the clouds look like black smoke

Following Voldemort's rise from the cauldron, Fudge's Ministry adopts a policy of denial. Everyone knows it's going to be bad even before Dolores Umbridge is hired on as the new Defence professor.

    OR

Can Harry just have one normal year, please? Tom would have to agree, especially now that he has a signed Hogwarts contract of his own.

    a snake is summer’s treason

Charity Burbage, the Muggle Studies professor, disappears the second week in July. That’s the first sign that the Second Wixen War is about to get infinitely worse.

This should probably be everyone’s priority, but just because there’s a war on doesn’t mean life hasn’t continued to move on.

"Okay," Harry says gravely, "kid. So. You might not believe me, but." He swallows. "You've been….de-aged."

    "De-aged?" Tom asks, perplexed.

"I think so," he goes on rapidly, "I mean, you were, like…" He screws his face up. "Sixty-eight years old, just an hour ago. But now you're seven."

"Sixty-eight?" Tom gasps, and he opens his mouth to scream.
June 24th, 1995. The night that Lord Voldemort regains his human form, and he and Harry Potter fight to the death, when their wands collide, shared by a beam of gold light.

Now he's young Tom Riddle, fresh out of Wool's Orphanage. The Golden Trio and the Weasleys will learn something new about themselves - and Tom will, too. Can young Tom escape the shadow of his older self? Or will he succumb under it?

Featuring: fluff, lots of fluff, Tom Riddle being Tom Riddle even at age seven, and Harry Potter being an idiot, per usual. Updates every week/two weeks! <3

    Summary

When Harry is called to the Headmasters office at the beginning of his sixth year he isn't sure what to expect. He at least really didn't see it coming that he would become Master of Death, travel back in time to become someone else, and more importantly to stop Voldemort before he would be lost to the monster.

    ****

''You must understand, Harry, that it's very dark magic. I don't want to taint your soul.''

Harry hisses, feeling his rage rear its ugly head again. You could taste his magic in the air, and Harry almost imagined the tendrils swirling around him wildly. Dumbledore's eyes widened.

''I call bullshit! The darkest curse was thrown at me when I was a baby, I'm almost of age, and you should just fucking tell me what I need to know. And I mean really what I need to know, and not what you want me to know. I think it's time to trust me, to trust your weapon because that's all I am, right? A soldier in this war, a weapon to end the Dark Lord, just a means to an end. The savior of the wizarding world, the boy who lived, the chosen one, and all that other rubbish!''

What he had pictured in his head when he'd first thought of teaching were long, sweeping orations, students hanging on his every word, young minds being taken in and inspired by his message. What he did not fully consider, however, was that he would actually have to teach. (In which Tom Riddle begins teaching at Hogwarts and realizes just what a horribly stupid idea it was.)

    Legilimency for Dummies by daisyridlay

Here he was, expending a significant amount of his mental energy to keep his thoughts regulated and normal, and what did he have to show for it? People thinking he was abnormal and creepy for a five year old. That was what he had to show for all his hard work. It was patently unfair.

Tom Riddle has a natural affinity towards passive legilimency. He grows up completely convinced everyone around him can also read minds, but they are too stupid to utilize the skill properly. Being surrounded by idiots is hard.

Pretending to be Harry Potter (and Other Heartwarming Activities) by daisyridlay & sharkdododo

Horcrux Tom Riddle wakes up in a clearing in the Forbidden Forest in Harry Potter's body. Vanquishing Lord Voldemort is the easy part; being attached to Harry Potter's soul for sixteen years may or may not give one a bit of a hero complex. Pretending to be Harry Potter, however, is much, much harder. Especially when all of his friends are actually kind of nice.

This is a story involving the start of Tom Riddle's (very, very long) road to redemption.

Moody reclined in his chair, his prosthetic scratched over the floor. “What year is it, Riddle.”
It wasn’t phrased like a question, maybe that was why Tom finally answered.
“September.” Tom clipped out coldly. “1942. You know this.”’
Harry inhaled so sharply he choked on his spit. He hurriedly turned away, hacking and wheezing as he nearly asphyxiated on his own saliva.
“Yeah,” Moody grimaced with a slight disgruntled noise hidden in his tone, “that’s a problem.”

    Or

Tom Riddle, 15 years old, in the middle of the London Blitz suddenly finds himself in a future with no allies, resources, information, and everyone he knows treats him with enough restraint to not murder him on the spot. It takes a lot to truly ruin a human being, to rot them so thoroughly even fruit flies avoid the stench. Tom doesn't want this bullshit, Tom only wants to-
