    Summary

    Anthology containing:

And Who's Going to Feed Him?

Qui-Gon has a tendency to bring home pathetic lifeforms, but his involvement usually ends there. The Maverick, Master of the Living Force, is really not the best at follow-through. After years with his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi has adapted to Qui-Gon’s habits. But a slave boy from Tatooine is not remotely similar to an exotic carnivorous plant or a misunderstood kept pet monster.

On the journey back to Coruscant, Obi-Wan Kenobi starts doing what he always does: handling the numerous crucial details of making Qui-Gon’s latest spacebrained adoption work (or, at least, conveying the newest pathetic lifeform to its best sanctuary, preserve, or forever home). This time, Qui-Gon notices. So does the pathetic lifeform. And Anakin Skywalker’s new forever home might be with Obi-Wan himself.

An AU where Obi-Wan Kenobi gets a little more credit from the start; the Force likes Obi-Wan and Anakin together; everyone gets a choice; and after the occupation, Padmé pays her planet’s debts in a way that matters.

"Statement: Master, I do so wish you would allow me to enact my assasination protocols and eliminate these quarrelsome meatbags. Pretty please?" "... Hold that thought, HK."

When Anakin is seven, he starts rebuilding an ancient 'protocol' droid. When he is nine, he reactivates said droid.

    Summary

A series of fics set within the How Romance Novel Saved the Galaxy universe, a crack taken seriously fix it for the entirety of the Star Wars universe focusing heavily on Mandalorians, Jedi and their surprisingly compatible cultures. I'd recommend starting with the first fic, but Excerpts can technically be read on its own.

    Anthology containing:

How a Romance Novel Saved the Galaxy

In one galaxy, the novel was never read. In another, it starts a landslide.

Or what happens when the Mandalorians learn that the Jedi are exactly what most of them look for in a partner.

Excerpts from The Mandalorian's Dilemma (in chronological order)

These are the excerpts from the novel, The Mandalorian's Dilemma, from the first fic in this series How a Romance Novel Saved the Galaxy. They are essentially drabbles from different parts of the romance novel in that story. They are also incomplete, but I am providing them in chronological order due to several requests from my readers:)

Cultural Revolutions and Other Impossible Things

Conversations, scenes, AUs and outtakes from How a Romance Novel Saved the Galaxy.

    Summary

Many have said that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Few can attest that the road back is far harder to conquer. Now Anakin has to face everything he's become, avoid the suspicion of everyone from the Jedi Council to Palpatine, and try to prevent the future from turning out as badly as it had before all while somehow finding a way to bring balance to the Force...again.

    ----

Anakin's 9 years old again and back at the Temple, bound and determined to change destiny. It's a daunting task as to do so, he has to juggle preventing and dealing with a multitude of problems at once. Between trying to stop Dooku from joining Sidious, freeing his mother, avoiding Palpatine, and training to even a fraction of his previous levels, all while maintaining his cover as a 9-year-old initiate, it can get rather...overwhelming. Too bad keeping up a facade isn't one of his strong points.

    ABANDONED

During the Naboo Crisis someone is removed from office but it is not Chancellor Valorum: instead it is his vice-chair Mas Amedda who is blamed for preventing the Senate and the Chancellor from helping the Queen. In his place former Naboo Senator Palpatine is elected, with Queen Amidala eventually taking his place. The former Queen develops a bond with new Padawan Annika Skywalker; her master is still reeling from the near death of his master Qui-Gon Jinn but is able to train her with the man's guidance, as well as some help from the Council and Qui-Gon's former Master Dooku.

Years have passed and the Jedi faces large amounts of distrust from the public and the Senate due to their disconnect. In an attempt to rebuild trust Chancellor Valorum gives the Jedi a seat in the Senate. They elect the most unlikely person for the job: eighteen-year-old Annika Skywalker.

Annika is taken under the wing of Senator Amidala and is assisted by her handmaidens as she learns to navigate the world of politics where not even her Jedi skills may save her from deceit and lies.

Soon she uncovers something darker than a corrupt Senate: a Sith Lord lurks in plain sight, planning to destroy the Republic from inside.

    Anthology containing:

    The Only Hope

Balance has been achieved, but one Force Ghost isn't about to accept the outcome, leaving Obi-Wan Kenobi the universe's only hope once again.

    The Temporal Menace

    The Freedom of the Clones

Save Qui-Gon. Save Anakin. Save the Jedi. Defeat the Sith.

    Summary

Changing the future doesn't necessarily make things better. It just makes things different.

Journey of the Whills is a story that began with Re-Entry (found here: http://archiveofourown.org/series/10129; see series description). It's an on-going work that has not been abandoned; updates are forthcoming.

    Anthology containing:

    Prologue

Prologue for Re-Entry: Journey of the Whills.

    Beginning Anew

Returning home is both deceptively easy and hard to do.

    Circle Shift

The thing about circles is that they are not inert objects; it’s not in their nature.

    Trader (By Birth and Blood)

She is Aika Jai Tano'bi, and she has just fallen in love twice over.

    Tempered Grace

Adversity is a hammer upon the spirit.

    Thick Skin, Loud Voice

She's just volunteered to become a Sith Hunter.

    She's got to be crazy.

Feel the Sun from Both Sides

Jedi are supposed to be patient. She can do patient—she can and will do anything to keep from being sent back to the dumpsters. Sleeping in a real bed—having food available all the time—is a habit that Tahl is getting used to pretty fast.

Direction of the Wind, Part I

Obi-Wan and Anakin get used to dealing with each other without their respective buffers; a Queen pays a visit, as does a Senator, and Bant gets to be devious.

    Re-Entry Official Timeline

This is the official timeline for Re-Entry and Journey of the Whills, which will be updated as Whills progresses. It combines a lot of actual Star Wars canon dates as it integrates with this particular alternate universe. Some dates appear fudged because I had to invent a calendar for the characters living inside the universe. Using pre-BBY dates is not actually a useful system if you live there.

Also, some characters' listed canon ages are WRONG WRONG WRONG. I have taken liberties when appropriate.

The timeline lists events by date and by story (Look for the [xxxx])

Direction of the Wind, Part II

"To be honest, Chancellor Valorum, I never thought I would come under literal fire while serving you.”

“I didn’t think I was worth assassinating, myself.”

    Interlude I

The Jedi Temple is full of secrets.

    Kerri Chewgra Ji

Tholatin and Qui-Gon Jinn have an uncomfortable shared history. Padawan Raallandirr finds it all interesting, infuriating, and baffling.

    Also, there are Chiss.

    Background Radiation

“You’re the Initiate who dreamed about fire in the sky and massive devastation. I wanted you as my Padawan in the worst way.”

Important things can happen in places you'd never think to look.

    A Drop of Fire - Part I

There are days that can bring about events that will change everything about the future.

What no one mentions is that those days start out just like any other.

A Drop of Fire - Part II

    “You’ve allied yourself with Sidious?”

“Not necessarily an alliance. More of a…passing acquaintance."

A Drop of Fire - Part III

"Their rage supplies them with weapons." --Virgil

A Drop of Fire - Part IV

“You have no idea how much I do not want this! Damn him, and you, for putting me in this position!”

    Fallout

"This is where I leave you, for now, though not for any ominous reason."

    Shadows - Part I

“I do not wish to lose an ally, even a dead one.”
“An ally? What makes you think I am that?”
“Because you hate Sidious as much as I do."

    Shadows - Part II

Thirty Jedi Shadows think they know what to expect from their new instructor.

    Shadows - Part III

"Fear attracts the fearful: the strong, the weak, the innocent, [and especially] the corrupt."

    Interlude II

Qui-Gon should have recognized the distraction for what it was.

    Impedimenta Part I

Impedimenta: plural, n. Baggage and those things that retard progress. Also see: roadblocks, distractions, politics, and long-lost Jedi.

    Impedimenta Part II

“They are so smart, your Padawans. If you did anything right, it was that.”

    Resumption

Cats are not the only things good at holding grudges.

    Integration Part I

“If you had succeeded in killing Sidious, during your third attempt on his life, what would you have done?”

    Integration Part II

All it takes is the right word at the right moment, and thousands of years of truths can be undone.

    Integration Part III

“How drunk should I be for this conversation?”

    "Manufactured genocidal pandemic.”

“No, I was not yet inebriated enough for that statement.”

    Integration Part IV

There is a fine line between educated and jaded.

    Integration Part V

“What is it that I need to see?”

Many things, the specter whispered. Then she said, You are going to die.

    Fracture

The way of the Whills is a journey of excruciating self-discovery.

    Trial

The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials. -Lucius Annaeus Seneca

    Clattering Feet

They were all aware that this would be their last time together in this form, this singular group who had joined together to learn blatant insanity at his hands.

    Mortis

"Young Skywalker was on the right track, calling this place a wellspring, but it’s more accurate to say that Mortis is a nexus.”

    Deadspace

    "Am I dead?"

    Erratic Oscillation Part I

    "Do you remember anything?"

    "Just...fragments."

    Erratic Oscillation Part II

    Names are important, aren't they?

    Erratic Oscillation Part III

No true Sith can ever be locked away for long.

    Illumination

Serenity was rare for him, but it did not preclude him.

    Well of the Dark Side

"It’s the Mortis equivalent to the Chamber of Trial. The only way out is to go forward."

Lost in the Echo Part I

    "What else are friends for?"

    "Blowing things up, apparently."

Lost in the Echo Part II

“The Sith had this annoying habit of creating traps within their own documents. Sometimes it was subtle, like hypnosis via pattern and word repetition. More often than not, they would use blood magic. You could pick up one of these books with no intention whatsoever of becoming a Sith, and yet…it would convince you.”

“Is that what happened to you? Insatiable need, or rewired ambition?”

Lost in the Echo Part III

“Pretty violent thing to like, though, isn’t it? For a Jedi, I mean.”

“If I judged the value of things by how violent they were, I wouldn’t have any friends to speak of,” Kenobi replied. “The litanies are about war, yes, but they’re also about life, about connection.”

Rex had to give him that one. “Vode an.”

“That is one hell of a pun right now. A double pun, even.”

Lost in the Echo Part IV

"He tried not to think about the others if he could help it; he couldn’t afford to be that consciously depressed.

He rested his right hand on the leather cuff on his left arm, tracing the pattern of the text underneath by memory. Two years, five months, and fifteen days.

He was still no closer to figuring out a way to go home."

Lost in the Echo Part V

“I knew you were still alive when you changed the beacon call for the Temple, you crazy, brazen son of a bitch.”

Obi-Wan gave him a faint smile. “Someone had to do it.”

“I know.” Then and now, his General was such a damned Jedi.

Lost in the Echo Part VI

Everything goes according to plan, except when it doesn't.

    Lost in the Echo VII

Tamoeth expected great things from his prisoner. Sidious, Void take him, had waxed too long, too eloquently, about Venge’s potential. If Tamoeth’s Master were still alive, there was no doubt in his mind that Sidious would have flung his cherished Adepts out into deep space just to have the half-made Sith all to himself.

    Lost in the Echo VIII

"What did you do that for?"

    "For science!"

    Allies

Vader wanted allies to help him dethrone Sidious, and he finds something better than he ever expected.

    Lylek Squad

Lylek Squad comes together in pieces, but together they are whole.

They are also some of the scariest bastards to ever wield a blaster.

    Amalgamate Part I

Everything must coalesce, must merge together, to bring about what is yet to come.

    Amalgamate Part II

“I can’t believe you asked him before I had the chance to ask Kix,” Jesse groused.

“What—why the fuck hadn’t you married him already?” Wolffe thundered.

“Beeeecause it wasn’t legal?” Jesse offered in his defense. That was also weird—Click was pretty sure Kix had mentioned that Jesse was dead, but apparently it was Not-Dead day.

    Amalgamate Part III

"This is the time for treatise, for essays, for the spirit of the educated being to press words into paper, so that the cusp that we stand upon will not be forgotten.
Write it down. Write it all down, lest it’s forgotten, lest our words and ideals, purposes and truths be twisted by those who come after us.
The time is coming, soon, where the time for writing will be temporarily suspended, because it will be time to act.
We don’t yet know what those actions will be, but it’s coming.
    Write it all.”
—Senator Padmé Amidala, 140th session of the Galactic Senate, 5212

Honor Thy Fallen and Shout Their Names From The Stars

The first thing Wedge Antilles ever learned about Luke Skywalker is that if the man says he's going to do something, he really is going to do it. It's great except for when it's terrifying, but mostly it's great.

    Interlude III

"You can’t hit yourself in an attempt to correct past mistakes. Believe me, I’ve tried. It is both ineffective and unsatisfying."

    Splinters

Sometimes, all you have is a collection of moments, splinters from lives that others lived.

That does not make them any less valuable.

    Evening Sunset

It’s dumb luck more than anything else when Eve Koh ends up working for Vilmahr Grahrk.

    Orphan's War Chant

I always meant to post the translation for this, and then life kind of...happened. (Just: so much horse shit. So. Fucking. Much.)

The chant first appears in RE's Journey of the Whills: Lost in the Echo Part VI: https://archiveofourown.org/works/4624377

    Summary

    Anthology containing:

    The Desert Storm

In Tatooine legend, the sandstorm is Lukka, the Fury, both cleansing and damning. Lukka, the slaves believed, was Justice, was he who remade the world, and remade the soul.

The storm screams at him, and Obi-Wan Kenobi screams back.

    Ruin

Sometimes, where we come from matters less than where we are going.

    Fallout

The training of the Learner is the prerogative of the Master.

    Supposedly.

    True Colors

Some names can be cast off, but some names follow you.

Some names aren't yours to give away.

    In Crisis

It is often easier to do for others what one cannot do for themselves.

    What is Sown

Some plants must be pruned to thrive, and others, once cut, never bloom again.

    Remembrance

There are things you know that you can't remember, and things you remember which you wish you did not know.

    Remembrance: Part II

The past is a dangerous place. It is the memories of the things that once were which made us who we are, and can unmake us.

    Remembrance: Part III

    Zodiac

There is a strange power to the stars you were born under.

    Lineage

What we pass down is not always picked up by those who come after us.
In some cases, this makes them better than we were.
In some cases, they are worse.

    Deliverance

It is said that the journey is more important than the destination.

    This is... not always so.

    Fever

Rising from the ashes is a laudable thing. Burning, not so much.

    Stories within a Story

This work is a collection of small, prompt based vignettes that take place within the Desert Storm series.

The content involved will have some, but not a major impact on the plot of the Desert Storm series.

You may propose SHORT prompts in the comments, and I'll see what I can do.

    Stories Within a Story II

More bonus content for the Holidays!

As before, feel free to leave prompts in the comments and I will see what I can do.

    Night

In truth, there can be no light without darkness.

    Ripples

If you are going to cast stones in ponds, you should expect to get wet.

    Sa Sarad

Sa sarad cuyir gotal de pitat, runi cuyir gotal de akaan.

As flowers are grown by rain, so is the soul grown by war.

    Tarot

Fate has a funny way of filling out the roles to be played.

    Mirage

Many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

Overall character entries in Wookieepedia - 33136
    "Females" character entries - 7077

I've made an alphabetical list of already too many of them (canon-only, with almost no exceptions), there will be at least 1000 words per character until I can't do it anymore.

    Anthology containing:

    The Song in the Soil

    Aayla Secura, Republic Era/pre-Prequel Trilogy

He had asked her to stay below in the ship, so she wouldn't know where they were going, and then to wrap the cloth over her eyes before she could get a glimpse of where they'd landed. He always asked. And Aayla never turned down a challenge.

    The Night Shift

    Ackmena, Rebellion Era/Original Trilogy

The shift change was planned for the mid-evening lull. Wuher usually worked through the tail end of moisture farmers and bantha herders coming in for a drink before dark. They were the ones heading far enough out of town that they had to get their drinking done before the suns set, or they'd be stumbling back home as the Sand People crept out. In about twenty minutes, the night crowd would kick in, with drink orders coming in almost faster than she could pour them.

    Tipping Point

    Adi Gallia, Republic Era/Mid-Phantom Menace

"Do you really believe the Trade Federation would invade a Republic world?" Valorum asked.

I took a breath. He wasn't asking the right question.

"I believe that if what's happening on Naboo is allowed to continue, the other member systems will wonder what they owe to a Republic that can no longer protect them."

    Kitchen Woman

    Unnamed/Armitage Hux's Mother, Rebellion Era/Original Trilogy

I felt lucky then that I'd always been up early, because it meant no one paid any mind that I always dressed first, away from everyone else. It wouldn't look like I was hiding anything, I thought. I'd never had anything to hide before, but now it was going easier than I would have thought. I'd even liked it sometimes, getting to have a secret.

    The Cave

    Ahsoka Tano, post-Star Wars Rebels/?

And there was something else, more important, though Ahsoka found herself loath to do it. Her lightsabers drawn, deep in the labyrinth formed by the stone warriors and the crumbled temple. Yet the words broke certain into her mind. Your eyes can deceive you.
Her heart pounded, as though warning her otherwise. But Ahsoka withdrew her sabers, and closed her eyes. Rather than her weapons, she let the Force be her light.

The Only Man Who Can Save You

    Aiolin Astarte, Pre-Rebellion Era/Original Trilogy

"What are your names?" he asked them, as his hand moved to Aiolin. They each answered in turn, and he nodded, before kneeling down to meet their level. "I am called Dr. Cylo. I've been a friend of your parents for quite some time."

"I don't know you," said Morit. Dr. Cylo smiled, leaning closer to her brother.

"We've never met," he answered. "And aside from that, I sometimes prefer not to wear the same face for too long."

    The Salt & the Shadow

    Alcida-Auka, Resistance Era/post-The Last Jedi

Because it was only the Sisters who were made for the Shadow. That was their pride, and so with it they sought the humility of simple work in their lives, to sweep the paths that others walked, cook their meals and light their hearths.

Even as the most recent Outsider had refused much of their work, collecting his own food and cleaning his own hut. He had even begun to pick up their words, to thank them, to ask them questions, to weave kind phrases. It hadn't surprised Mother that some of her younger Daughters thought to share the Shadow with him. Yet she had no need to forbid it, as even these Daughters knew that they could not.

  11. Summary

Things get progressively worse for the stubborn, irresponsible teenage queen of Naboo when a lovesick Viceroy invades her planet as part of his awkward romantic overtures, and the only "help" she receives comes in the form of an impossibly stupid Jedi and his long-suffering apprentice. Thanks to Qui-Gon's spectacular blundering (and the meddling of an all-powerful being known only as "George Lucas"), their katamari of disaster picks up an indestructible frogman, a perverted droid and the creepiest little boy, whom Jinn firmly believes is the Chosen One (or at least the latest Chosen One to catch his attention). Will Queen Amidala ever convince the Galactic Senate to give a shit about her problems? Will the Jedi Council put their weed down long enough to notice the looming Sith threat?

    Probably not.
