Summary
Story of Teddy and Billy where one is a many limbed god, the other a sacrificial offering.
Billy Kaplan is a man leading an ordinary and boring life, finally agreeing to go out with his co-worker. His hopes for the date aren’t much: a free meal and perhaps a quick and disappointing roll in the hay afterwards to break the months long dry spell he has been muddling through.
Unfortunately, the date leads to something far more serious than bad sex, and Billy finds himself bound and gagged in the back of an SUV. It is bad enough to be abducted, but to be captured by people planning to use him as a human sacrifice is worse. But at least the beings his abductors worships don’t exist; there are no dark and eternal, terrifying beings dwelling in the grim, endless depths of space just waiting for a morsel they could consume…

Summary
This story is part of the Melpomaen the Elfling universe.
Ereolas is the reborn King Oropher and is married to Cirdan. They live in Mithlond. He has decided to write his memoirs of when he was King of the Greenwood and also record the details of his life in Mithlond in anecdotal, diary form.
To familiarise yourself with the characters you could read Melpomaen the Elfling first, but it is not necessary.
Here is a brief synopsis of the events leading up to this story:
Melpomaen and Ereolas are Erestor and Legolas’ elflings. Ereolas is King Oropher reborn and so Legolas actually gave birth to his grand ada. Ereolas is able to speak, read, write, be a pain in the ass, as soon as he is born. Shortly after his birth, he demands his old throne back. His parents and the Valar, who prefer Thranduil as king, resist him. Ereolas accepts, in the end, that he will never be a king again and adopts a new hobby: researching and imposing the rules of etiquette. He terrorises everyone with etiquette.
Oropher’s soul mate is Cirdan and when he came of age they were married and moved to Mithlond. Recently, Ereolas has found that he carries the curse of Legolas.
