    Done

"Tim almost flinched at Batman’s words, but his viciousness had only grown. Somewhere in the back of his mind Tim was screaming at himself to stop talking and take the punishment as a small mercy. But he had been expected to forgive both of his attempted-murderers without complaint; expected to forgive people who had never been sorry for hurting him in the first place. An even larger part of his mind was out for blood."

"'You don’t get to make decisions for me when you threw me away like garbage,' Tim hissed."

There is only so far someone can bend before they break.

    Finding the Right Puzzle

Continuation of “Done” where Tim doesn’t forgive the Bats.

“Bruce looked paralyzed in his seat. Good. When this conversation was over only one of them was going to be left standing and, for once, Tim wanted it to be himself.”

    Earning a Second Chance

Continuation of “Done” in which Tim slowly forgives the Bats.

“ For all Tim probably knew, he could be any other random person they felt the need to save. It made him queasy to know that he had been an active—if not the most prominent—participant of this situation.

Jason had a hell of a lot to answer for. They all did.”

  3. Summary

“Seems like a lot of work,” Peter said, eyeing the pieces. Tony glanced at Peter, a soft smile on his face.

“Some things are worth the work to put them back together.”

    ---

Or, with May gone, Peter needs someone to help him pick up the pieces. And it seems Tony Stark is willing to be that person.

    Parenting in all its glory

The numbness that came with the discovery of who his father was, wasn’t what froze him deeply inside, as his crusty bloody nails clenched on themselves at that precise instant.

There was only a pale thing, in his own eyes, as time went, and as dullness installed itself, as escape attempts intensified.
It was just a tale of how he was going to become the world’s greatest hero.

But how to save the world, in the first place, if you can’t even save your own skin?
    The answer was to try.
    To never stop trying.

Even if failure becomes the norm.

Or: a story were Izuku is subjected to a psychologically horrific yet paradisiac environment, where the one person that cares the most about his flesh and blood becomes the monster to avoid at all costs.

    purgation in All Its Glory

A living ancient threat has a talk with a Young hard working ant.

Or: A dialogue between this last one and a friend(?) of their progeny.

    Growing in all its Glory

All for one has taken over the Nation of Japan.
    It’s over.
In a society reformed through the likes and fantasies of the legends of all villains, “heroes” are squashed, rebellions quelled and resistances reduced to dust.

Or at least that’s what Izuku believes, so far.

You're Stuck With Me Now, Tony Stark

“No,” is all Tony can say with another dry swallow. Happens a lot when he’s especially anxious. Who knew that simply speaking to an eleven-year-old could trigger such a reaction?

Peter cocks a brow and asks Tony why he’s here.

And Tony blurts out the first thing that comes to mind.

Peter looks at him confusedly in response and asks, “Why would you want to replace my glasses?”

    ---

Tony has almost nothing to look forward to. Nothing to drive him. Nothing to move him. He's stuck in a funk, living day-to-day, the horrors of his past and the realities of his present bearing down on him harder and harder with each passing day; his mind coming up with new ways to belittle him every day.

That is, of course, until he meets a baby-faced kid with a proclivity towards scientific advancement.

And, suddenly, things don't seem too bad anymore. Shame Tony can't really understand why.

I'm Stuck on You, Tony Stark

The grin’s sincere, but it’s not quite reaching his eyes, and the man can’t stop fidgeting in his seat, and every so often he’ll flick a gaze over towards the clock Steve knows to be behind his head despite the fact that he’s already wearing a watch.

He asks if he's okay before he even thinks twice about it.

Tony laughs, “Peachy keen. Never better. I’m just full of sunshines and rainbows and unicorns.”

“And of shit, too, apparently,” Steve responds.

    ---

Those who said that Tony Stark didn't have a heart, in Steve's most esteemed opinion, were morons who didn't know a fragment of the man he does, because it's safe to say that, if anything, Tony Stark has probably too much heart. And Steve can't help but love him for it - though he knows he can never have him.

We'll Stick With You, Steve Rogers

“Steve, I wanna get you and Tony together.”

“I thought you were done with this,” Steve manages to groan, suddenly unable to make eye contact with a person not even a fourth of his (chronological) age.

“No, not done,” Peter says with decision heavy in his voice, “Just put on the backburner for a bit.”

‘A bit’ is a bit of an understatement, considering it’s been weeks since they had the conversation about Peter’s obvious desire to see Steve and Tony together.

Steve doesn’t note on that, however.

    ---

A lot's happened these past few months- Peter's officially joined the family, everybody's happy, everything's just great- but he figures that just means that it was high time for drama to start ripping what he's gained to shreds and dare to try and take one of his most precious people from him.

Please Stick With Me, Steve Rogers

Steve stands awkwardly at the doorway, as if he must be invited in so that he may enter.

“Are you a secret vampire, Steve?” Tony asks, eyebrow raised to mask the worry.

Steve smiles a bit. “No,” he says, shaking his head, “Just not quite sure what’s supposed to happen next is all.”

    “What happens next?” he echoes.

Steve shifts a bit, obviously embarrassed. “I’m not an idiot,” Steve mumbles, “I’m just not sure of the… the protocol of what’s supposed to happen.”

He can’t help but parrot right back the word, “Protocol?”, not as so much confused as he is amused now, because he can’t help but imagine them drafting a battle plan for sex.

    ---

It's been over a month since the incident with the Mandarin, and Tony couldn't be happier now, with his newfound relationship with Steve and the loving, paternal relationship he has with his son - but a small part of him (maybe, admittedly, not very small at all) can't ignore the sense of crippling doubt to the durability of their relationship, especially given the kind of man he knows himself to be.

    To Become

But he doesn’t. He’s come too far and Dad says that Stark men are made of iron, and Peter’s not a Stark but he’s the son of one so that counts for something. He’s got a big name to live up to, and as such he stands his ground, imagining himself to be a iron pole ripping up through the concrete, opens his mouth and says,

    ”HiI’mPeterParkerandIthinkyou’vebeenlookingformemayIcomeinplease?"

    ...

Our teenage years are a time for us, as people, to find out who we are, who we are made to be in the world around us, which is hard enough to figure out if you're normal. Try being the secret adopted son of Captain America and Iron Man.

I Wanted to Stick by You, Tony Stark

WARNING: Infinity War spoilers. Canonical character death will ensue.
    ...

He has his share of slip ups, obviously, because nobody’s perfect but Dad has come to forgive him for them. Sure, he was pretty steamed about that for a while, but even Dad admits the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is looking to become a remarkable influence of good for the city.

    ...

As the time winds down, Peter recounts the five points he’d agreed to when Tony allowed him to take up the mantle of Spider-Man, and the regrets he has obtained from the life he has led.

"Harry what did you do?" Draco asked.
    "I-..." Harry hesitated.
Draco moved so that his hands were now resting on top of Harry's shoulders. "Harry," he said softly. "What did you do?"
