  1. Summary

Obi-Wan narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?" He asked, hoping a direct question would yield answers. The old man seemed adept at side-stepping information when asked a bit more deftly. “I’ve never heard of a Master with your level of talent.”

The old man seemed surprised. “If you’ve never heard of one like me, then what good would my name be? You wouldn’t know it.”

Obi-Wan felt a flare of irritation, and quickly squashed it. The old man blinked, as if he hadn’t expected to feel that, and he smiled, sadly. “My name is Luke,” he said, as if a peace offering.

The force trilled in his ear, and Obi-Wan frowned. "Luke what?" He asked, and the old man, this Luke, smiled wryly.

    "Luke Skywalker.”

  2. Summary

It isn’t that Ahsoka isn’t grateful, exactly, it’s just that… she’s tired. She’s been running and hiding and fighting for so long that when Ana - when Darth Vader plunged his lightsaber into her heart, it was almost like relief.

It isn’t that Rex was planning to die on Endor. It’s just that - once he stops screaming in his head - he can’t help but feel vaguely disappointed. He had died fighting, as a clone should, fighting to give the galaxy a peace that he had only found in death.

Now that’s been snatched away, like everything else. She’s fourteen years old with lekku that tickle her shoulders and her legs ache with the promise of a growth spurt; he’s ten-slash-twenty again and his joints don’t ache and there’s a chip in his head that can make him kill his Jedi.

    Dominoes

"So. We died." Hevy's voice is flat.
“Yes, we died,” Fives confirms. "We all... remember, right?" Even though his hands are steady on Echo’s shoulders, his voice trembles as everyone nods.
Droidbait shudders, and shuffles closer to Cutup. “How is that possible?” he says. “We’re not Jedi. We can’t… see the kriffing future, or whatever it was. We can’t—it’s just not possible. How could we all have had the same dream?”

Domino squad wakes up to find themselves back on Kamino, hours from taking their final test... except they remember passing the final test, and they each remember dying afterwards, too.

    Silent Cry

In the wake of Hevy's stand at the Senate and his apparent death, Commander Gree and his men accompany Generals Unduli and Windu on a dangerous mission, tasked with bringing Pong Krell to justice.

    Dominoes-verse compliant

    Rest

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Fives snarls.

“I don’t… I don’t think this is a joke, Fives,” Droidbait says nervously—meows, actually, because Droidbait is a loth-cat. Inexplicably. Impossibly.

So is Fives. And so is Cutup.

(Domino squad get turned into loth-cats.)

    NOT Dominoes-verse complaint

    Echolocation

Cutup has been a loth-cat for two entire rotations, and as fun as it is to have claws, he’s getting a little tired of it.

    Anthology containing:

    greetings, chosen

“Let her go, Anakin!” Obi-Wan shouts as he watches Padmé struggle to breathe.

“What have you and she been up to?”

What, Obi-Wan thinks. Surely he knows I’m not even into women. “Let her go!”

you know the world is fading

“I’m going to make a holopresentation,” Obi-Wan says. There’s a frightening gleam in his eyes.

“What for?” Anakin asks, when there’s no further elaboration.

“For telling the Council exactly where they can stuff it.”

    “Stuff . . . what?”

    “Everything.”

    open your eyes, watching afar

Their comms go off in the middle of a Council meeting. The report from Skywalker and Kenobi after taking Christophsis is horribly late, and they’ve heard nothing from them.

Mace looks around after announcing who the comm is from, and puts it up so that everyone can see it when they nod. The blue holo of Skywalker flickers into focus in the middle of the room.

Something about him seems off. Mace can’t tell what it is, but something about the tense figure with arms crossed, staring blankly at the holorecorder, is different. It sets off alarm bells in his head.

all that remains is the arms of the angels

Mace gives into temptation and buries his face in his hands. Ki-Adi had had the bright idea to comm Obi-Wan since he was the more reasonable one of the duo and ask for some clarification.

He’d been honestly shocked by how Obi-Wan looked when he answered the call. Exhausted, almost emaciated, his clothes rumpled and dirty like he had never dreamed of seeing on the usually tidy and put-together man. He was sprawled on an unmade bunk of some kind, a tiny child held to his chest, and glaring at them with a sulky resentment that only padawans let show on their faces.

    ~

Commander Grey’s fingers are still shaking as he brings up the comm channel that he was instructed to.

your world was not mine, your eyes told me so

“What do we do now?” Rex says eventually, barely above a whisper.

    “Trust them,” Cody says reluctantly.

    Rex understands what isn’t said.

i will keep your heart with mine until you come to me

It is not a good day.

Honestly, if not for the fact that all three of them can speak the vod’e language with careless fluency, Rex would probably have drugged them and brought them in on suspicion of being spies or impostors hours before.

    But they can speak it.

Rex straightens his spine and prays he’s not making a mistake in blindly trusting his apparent future self.

this journey's over, another's just begun

He knows things, now. He’s always known them but could not remember them. But now that the chip is gone, he can make sense of the instinctual knowledge that it had apparently both given and repressed.

Coruscant is noisy, space is cold, it always rains on Kamino, Sheev Palpatine leads both the Republic and the Separatists and will not hesitate to decommission anyone who gets in his way.

    ~

Mace is ready when Depa stops her quiet questioning of her Commander and cups her hand over his ear again, clearly signaling that if anyone wanted to bother him further they would quite literally have to go through her.

“All right!” he says, with forced cheerfulness, unconsciously mimicking her. “I have a plan.”

    All eyes turn to him.

like a bird in a cage spreading its wings to fly

“The Republic,” Mace proclaims solemnly, “is a dumpster fire.”

There is a general murmur of agreement.

of fragrant nights of straw and of bonfires

They go to the barracks of the Coruscant Guard first, at Grey’s suggestion. He and his brothers follow them in and bar the doors.

Depa looks around and shivers, both from cold and from the Force-sense of despair that permeates the walls. “They made you live here?” she asks, and her voice echoes quietly off the bare wall and floors. “I’ve been in nicer prisons.”

i love you more and more and will my whole life long

It seems like it takes hours to reach the doors.

The General bangs on them, grinning cheerfully. He doesn’t seem to notice the way Rex flinches and looks around. When the brother inside demands to know their identities, he speaks with a tone almost like laughter.

“I’m General Skywalker, and this is my Captain, and we’re here to see Domino Squad!”

i seek to hold you, in sunshine or rain

Overall, Anakin thinks he’s doing very well.

The Jedi weren’t all dead, he was going to tie Sidious up and read him the most excruciatingly dull pod mechanic manuals he could find until he died of boredom (well, boring to Sidious. Anakin thought they were very interesting) and then set his corpse on fire and dance on it, Padmé was alive and their children were too, Obi-Wan didn’t actually hate him or think he was a delinquent brat, and Ahsoka was back with him.

i would wish that over this distance, i could be right there now with you

Ahsoka stirs, stretches a little, and yawns, showing her spiky teeth. Then she sees Anakin.

“I hate you!” she screeches, leaps off Padmé’s lap, and runs out of the room.

“Hey,” Anakin says, starting to his feet again. He looks between the slammed door and Padmé in confusion. “What was that about?”

Padmé sighs. “She’s jealous of the time you are spending with Rex and feels that you don’t want her.”

the ocean opens its arms to lost souls

He keeps himself still and very carefully eases one eye just far enough open to see. A natborn is touching him. There’s no sign of any of his brothers. That answers that question.

“You’re awake!” they say, softly, as if they fear being overheard, and they . . . smile? At him.

    ~

    They run.

Back down the narrow staircase, through the tunnel, into the barracks, into the streets, and then they take to the rooftops and alleys and don’t stop running and jumping, only slowing enough to make sure Vheh Company stays with them, until they reach the Temple and see the soldiers surrounding it and the incendiary bombs they are throwing. There is heavy artillery crawling through the streets from every side and already the walls are cracking under the assault.

'the old ways are lost,' you sang as you flew

“But what is it,” Anakin almost yells, pacing around the room. “It’s the size of a moon! Where did it come from? Why is it here? What kind of ship is that?”

“Maybe if you’d gone to your classes, you’d know, you uncultured child,” Obi-Wan says, and goes back to being a nerd. Cody’s never seen him so excited about anything to do with a ship before, so it must mean something or be significant in another way.

    ~

The equipment around them is understandable after they spend some time poking and prodding at it, but it’s simultaneously more advanced than anything any of them has ever seen and so ancient it’s laughable. The ship follows the course the Force plotted for them using Mace’s hands, but nobody is sure where it goes.

Kamino, as it turns out. Shaak had recognized it immediately as they dropped out of hyperspace.

efface the footprints in the sands

When the massacre of the Tusken Raider village is uncovered, Anakin is recalled to Coruscant to face the Council's inquiry into his actions. Agen Kolar takes his place leading the 501st in a treacherous assault on forces trying to conquer Champala, but no one is happy with Anakin's sudden removal, his padawan and Torrent Company least of all.

With little support in a campaign that's rapidly spiraling out of control and strange happenings starting to plague the battalion, Agen is in over his head, and Champala's oceans are more than deep enough to drown them all at the first misstep.

the sea, the sea in the darkness calls

When an ancient Sith mask is stolen from the heart of the Temple, Agen Kolar and the 501st are dispatched to recover it. The matter is nowhere near as simple as it first seems, however, and one charming thief manages to set in motion events that were set up millennia ago. In the midst of it all, Agen has to try to manage a mental link to a powerful Force adept, the growth of a new Sith Order, and a Separatist conflict that's spinning out of control.

Nothing is easy, nothing is quite as it seems, and the ghosts of the past are never quite as gone as one would like.

Have you ever seen a time traveler dropped into the middle of someone else's butterfly effect? How about several dozen someones? AKA I nabbed all my fave clone troopers and sprinkled them into a much happier galaxy, with a touch of violence on top. As a treat.

    Anthology containing:

    Su Cuy'gar, Vod

“We have a Jedi too!” The kid exclaimed, face lighting up with joy and awe. “A really real one from the Core, and he stayed to help even when the older ones left!”

Cody’s breath caught in his throat. In the corner of his eye, he could see Boil’s hands faintly shaking.

(Sometimes, second chances don't need explanations.)

    Tra'Kemiise

Further down the hall, Shmi could see the dark and sandy heads of Kitster and Anakin sitting within a circle of Jesse’s brothers, laughing as they shared food and stories alike. “And thank you for this, as well.”

Unlike others she’d thanked throughout the night, who simply shrugged it off with brief comments about 'being in the right place at the right time', Jesse went quiet.

“...we followed a man named Skywalker,” he eventually said. “Before, before something went wrong. And we wound up here.”

    Mirjahaal

Two things became very clear, in the aftermath of breaking up the courtyard battle. First and foremost, the Jedi they’d assisted were nothing like Krell, because the older one - male, human, Coruscanti accent - smiled at them with sheer relief in his eyes, and thanked each of the troopers personally, asking for their names one by one.

The second thing they learned came from the smaller Jedi - female, near-human species, inflections in her voice that matched the locals - when 4418 asked for an update on the status of the war, to which she asked, “What war?”

    Ramikadyc

    Organize. Analyze.

One - Whatever switch flipped in his head at hearing those words, that order, got un-flipped as soon as General Yoda’s saber cut through him.

Two - General Yoda’s lightsaber went through him, meaning Gree should by all rights be dead.

Three - Gree was awake. And apparently not dead.

    Jate'kara

Cursing, the human cast his gaze upwards - and spotted the two boys watching.

    He blinked. They blinked back.

He frowned. Feral lifted a hand to wave.

Savage grabbed Feral’s hand and tugged the smaller boy partially behind himself.

    The human huffed.

    Aay'han

“An issue has arisen concerning the Mid Rim world of Naboo, which is under Trade Federation blockade,” Plo explained, tapping at the datapad. “Jedi negotiation has been requested by the Senate. The Council had thought to send Master Qui-gon Jinn, due to his experience with such matters, but-”

“-but he doesn’t have any troopers attached to him,” Wolffe realized. “Are we anticipating this turning into a military confrontation?”

“There has been, to put it simply, a collective bad feeling,” his Jedi demurred.

“Ah. I’ll tell the boys to pack, then."

    Cin Vhetin

Just as she turned and took a step towards the front door, however, the panels slid open to admit a tiny child who darted forward heedlessly. Yelping, Ursa twisted and barely managed to avoid tripping over him; the sudden noise and movement startled the adiik, though, and in his attempt to avoid collision, the little boy wound up crashing against Jango’s armored shins.

He fell back to land solidly on his butt, mouth open in an ‘oh’ of surprise.

Boba cursed and knelt, absolutely certain they were about to deal with a small explosion of tears. But the kid further surprised him, by just staring with wide blue-green eyes, first at one Mando and then the others.

    Yaim'ol

Pirates were an unfortunate fact of life on Ryloth.

Though the twi’lek species lived on nearly as many planets throughout the galaxy as humans, their original homeworld remained relatively poor in wealth, if not population. Located at the intersection of two hyperlanes, one of which was the far-reaching Corellian Run that went all the way up into the Core, Ryloth’s greatest assets were her spaceports, and her people.

Hence the regular raids, when crews made up of the worst sort of scum sought to turn a quick profit, by kidnapping as many twi’leks as they could before high-tailing it to the nearest slave markets. The people of course developed what defensive tactics they could: towns built within canyons, clan homes carved into mountain sides, some families living nomadically across the desert expanses.

Cham Syndulla took a more aggressive approach.

    Shereshoy

Ahsoka fell forward with a half-giddy laugh, pressing her forehead against the wall. “This is your chance,” she whispered, “All of you. This is a chance, to seize your own lives. Take it. Please take it - and may the Force be with you.”

Arcadia, the Harmonious Land. Or, how a celibate monastic order and an army of genetically engineered super-soldiers learned to be a family.

    Anthology containing:

    Crossing the River

Five flaps of the butterfly wing; or, four lessons that Anakin Skywalker learned, and when he applied them.

    Exodus Flight

The war is over, but not everything is automatically okay. The Clones are worried about the Jedi. The Jedi are worried about the Clones. Everybody loves each other way too much to leave each other alone.

    Kanan Bound

There are just some things in life that you feel better when they’re on paper. Grey has decided that adopting Caleb is one of those things.

    There Is No Never Land

Obi-wan is getting a new Padawan. Cody is grappling with the idea of looking after a tiny person who isn't a brother. Alpha-17 is struggling with emotions in general. The GAR's two most notorious "textbook soldiers" and the "perfect Jedi" really need a hug. Luckily, they get one.
TW: mentioned past child abuse. Nothing graphic, but be safe.

    Where Youth and Laughter Go

Due to a random kidnapping by our favorite pirate, a piece of Obi-wan and Anakin's past comes loose. The rest of the mess follows. Luckily, they don't have to deal with it alone. Or, the Clones are not the only ones with traumatic childhoods.

The Land of Milk and Honey

Wolffe, Katooni, and Master Koon go on an arbitration mission for a small planet. It goes mostly well.

In the Garden of Four Rivers

Due to the machinations of Thire, the Coruscant Guard is assigned bodyguard duty to their favorite Senator, Senator Riyo Chuchi, as she heads home for a vacation. They pick up guests somewhere along the way.

    WARNING: MENTIONED PAST CHILD ABUSE

    Folkvang

A cure for the Clones' accelerated aging has been developed. Unfortunately, it depends on the one person who would be happy to never see a Clone again. Colt and Shaak Ti are dispatched to persuade him, and end up picking up a stray.

    The Land Under the Mountain

The Dantooine Enclave has many secrets. Obi-wan and Anakin, in typical Kenobi-Skywalker fashion, have discovered one.
Alpha would really like to know why this always happens to them. So does Obi-wan.

Put Our Faces to the Sun

Throughout the many twists, turns, and upheavals (both physical and emotional) in the Jedi and Clones’ lives, there remains one constant. Kids, be they Clone or Jedi, get into mischief.

(For those new to the Arcadia ‘Verse: You might want to read the previous installments of this series before this work. Things will make more sense that way.)

    Arcadia Meta

I received a favorable response to my worldbuilding notes, so I’m posting them.

    The Changing of the Guard

Leia is kidnapped on her way to her Senatorial confirmation! In typical Skywalker fashion, this leads to a spectacular adventure!
A New Hope, rewritten to fit the Arcadia-verse. Read that first if you haven’t read this!

    Summary

Set some time during the clone wars campaigns.

AU where Naboo Senator Obi-Wan adopts the Coruscant Guard. Commander Fox deserves a vacation for all the fires he has to put out left and right. Various unprofessional/feral Jedi give Mace Windu multiple ulcers. And they all incidentally end up throwing a giant wrench into Palpatine’s nefarious plans.

Mostly Crack. To Infinity and Beyond is the only fic with a sprinkling of plot.

    Anthology containing:

    Courage of the Stars

“Do you like it, general?” Hardcase asked eagerly from where he was sprawled over a metal crate in their designated hanger. Anakin stared at the new artwork adorning his battalion’s starfighters and gunships.

It was…an extremely provocative cartoon of Senator Obi-Wan Kenobi clad in skimpy gold lingerie, cradling a vaguely phallic-looking blaster cannon.

“Hey, you said we should come up with a design for the 501st. Remember? To boost morale and whatnot,” Tup reminded, scratching the side of his face.

“I meant something like the Wolfpack's nose art! You know, my head and Ahsoka’s next to some of yours,” Anakin hissed, blood pressure mounting at his men’s casual indifference.

“But that’s so boring,” Hardcase whined, flopping onto his side and upending some half-used paint cans onto the ground.

    To Infinity and Beyond

It was a redhead human male swathed in what looked like six layers of dark lace and silk. The outlandish costume ballooned around him, and as Fox reluctantly got to his feet, he spotted the long train that dragged on the gleaming floor beneath them. Fox peered down at his datapad.

“You must be the new Naboo senator,” He deduced in the silence.

The man ran a distracted hand over his neat facial hair and replied somewhat sardonically, “how could you tell?”

    Baby Butcher

It was the damned adult coloring book, featuring swashbuckling General Kit Fisto grinning from ear-to-ear on the front page. That annoying green Jedi. Only he was in black and white, and waiting for Fox to color him green.

He was going to color him pink out of spite and cram the book down Wolffe’s gullet and the color pencils up his ass—

(Can be read as a stand alone one-shot)

    Hall of Fame

Rex could probably pinpoint the exact moment his general fell in love.

    An Age-Old Dispute

Rex’s general frequently visited the clone commander barracks to vent and complain.

According to Anakin, he had a lot of feelings and opinions.

    An Exercise in Violence

“Just thought I’d apologize for being so rough the other day,” Vos said, loud enough for all the shock troopers in the shift station to hear. Stone’s hand slipped over his cup of caf and the brown liquid splashed down his left leg. It went unnoticed as every one of his subordinates were staring at him. Fox closed his eyes, the familiar simmer of hot rage bubbling beneath his skin.

Oh yeah, the bastard was doing this on purpose to get a reaction out of him.

    A Drunken Excursion

Turning to everyone, Kenobi declared, “drinks are on me tonight, boys. Feel free to order anything off the menu.”

“Sir, permission to profess my undying love for you,” Cody called out, grinning as he blew Kenobi a kiss.

“Out of of line, marshal commander,” Fox hissed furiously as the Naboo senator laughed.

“What are you gonna do, vod?" Cody stuck out his tongue. "I outrank you.”

    A Chance Encounter

He glanced up at the female Twi’lek standing in his doorway. She bit her lip, looking distinctly uncomfortable to be there.

Fox set his datapad down, “May I help you?”

Bly’s Jedi general sucked in a deep breath and blurted out, “I would like to apologize for my former master’s inappropriate behavior.”

    “Former master?”

“Quinlan Vos,” She said with an embarrassed grimace, “I was recently made aware of the fact that he has been…following you these past weeks, commander.”

    An Impending Doom

“Is this absolutely necessary, General Skywalker?” Palpatine sputtered as he swept the long brown locks out of his wrinkled face. Someone had stuck an unkempt wig on the Chancellor’s head. It looked like a woodland creature had died on him if Rex were to be honest. Kenobi, crouched in front of the old man, was dabbing bits of plant pigment over his thin colorless lips.

“Grievous doesn’t know about us crash-landing on this planet as well,” Anakin explained patiently, “maybe add some blush and eyeshadow, Obi-Wan. The point is, sir, I must do my best to keep you safe. The Separatists will be looking for Senator Kenobi, but they won’t glance twice in your direction if you’re not you.”

    A Hostile Intervention

    “Is it poisoned?” Fox asked.

Wolffe folded his arms over his apron, obscuring the word Boss and only leaving Bitch on proud display.

    “No.”

    “Laxatives? Sleeping pills?”

    An Unexpected Adoption

The clone medic on duty stared at the four grown men and two human fetuses framed in his doorway.

“You want me to do what?” Kix asked.

“I’m ordering you to change her diapers,” Fox said as authoritatively as he could muster.

Rex’s medic scratched his stubbled chin and pointed to the exit, “with all due respect, sir, kindly get out of my infirmary.”

(Senator Amidala leaves Commander Fox in charge of the twins. It goes as well as one would expect.)

    A New Hope

A year ago around this time, Fox had been appointed the Head of the Coruscant Military Police. Six battalions had been on leave for the New Year celebrations. The ghosts of his healed stomach ulcers were starting to burn just thinking about it.

“We cannot have a repeat of last year’s debacle, Fox. That is why the Jedi Council and Republic Senate agreed unanimously that you should oversee the planning task force.” Chancellor Palpatine picked up a thin datapad from his desk and held it out to a stunned Fox, “High General Windu wrote a list of requirements that he addressed to, I quote, ‘the only adult in the room.’ I assumed he was referring to you, commander.”

But when he and Fay find evidence of a new bioweapon going to production on a Separatist planet, they move to destroy it rather than let it be deployed against the clone armies. Dooku's presence is an unexpected complication, and rather than break cover, Jon lets himself be captured and thrown in the Count's personal dungeon.

He's not the only one there, however. Rex and his men have also been captured, and they're not about to trust a stranger in their midst. Jon has to pick between keeping out of the war the way he has been or rescuing the clones, blowing his cover and losing the freedom he's fought so hard for.

    Summary

All of these have Dai Bendu in them; translations may or may not be given, dependant on what sort of story I'm going for, and who is the POV narrator of each one. Pragmatics of the Jedi is where I found that, so if you want to know more, or read more with that in it, I'd head over there.

    Anthology containing:

    THE FORCE WILLS DOCUMENTARY

For years, the culture of the Jedi has remained largely untouchable by the public. What is known is diluted by rumours and the wear of time.

In this series, we'll explore the origins of the Jedi Order,

    Their traditions,

    Their values and beliefs,

    And their lives.

    jaieh

jaieh: (Dai Bendu) someone who has earned the title of Mastery in the Jedi Order; a Knight who has taken on a Padawan

The Master is responsible for the Padawan's safety and education; and should the Master fall -

    ibli jetii

ibli: (Dai Dendu) small, younger, little

Ursa wasn’t a fan of the jetii. She was Mando’ad, she was their enemy, and they were her enemy. Which made finding a tiny little… thing that much weirder.

    mikodail rah'eni

mikodail rah'eni (Dai Bendu) we the Jedi, our siblings

    "What's a clan?"

"A group of Jedi around the same age who share a dorm and class times," Kanan answered, wrapping a white bandage around the mirialan's arm, pinning it into place with practiced ease. "It's essentially a small family."

"So you're like, Kanan's siblings?" Ezra asked, brightening.

    iil orhma

iil orhma: (Dai Bendu) lit. to freeze warmth

In the day, a desert is burning hot, while at night, it is freezing cold.

    netanalo

netanalo: (Dai Bendu) lit. remembrance vision; a Force echo, a glimpse into the past

The Senate had sent a child to see into the past. A Padawan, Ahsoka's age, not much older. Rex's heart pounded in his chest, climbing towards his throat, because damn the Senate, did they know how this would affect the kid, or did they just not care?

    rah kat

rah kat: (Dai Bendu) family; a collection of people who are tightly knit

“Aay’shee,” Obi-Wan murmurs into her ear, rocking her gently, like when jaieh was off on a mission she couldn’t go on, so her jaieh-raheniel would take turns having her over at their apartments.

    jire

jire: (Dai Bendu) fast; with speed; quickly

Jyn Erso, in a cave of a thousand songs, cannot find the one she came for.

    ibli rahjr

ibli rahjr: (Dai Bendu) younger, future family member(s); Foundling

"Sir?" Styles said, "Why do you have a baby?"

    "I found him."

    kewan kawa

kewan kawa: (Dai Bendu) lovely song; lullaby

Ahsoka sings, Obi-Wan sobs, and the children of the Force walk alone.

    ania

    ania: (Dai Bendu) melody

    Ahsoka stresses and Cal hums.

    zahlah

zahlah: (Dai Bendu) a story, something that you can learn from

“This is Master Cere Junda of the Jedi Order,” the message said, showing a darker-skinned woman, hair cropped short, “And I have a message for the Sith that rule our galaxy."

    ehnoct

ehnoct: (Dai Bendu) pain caused by psychic backlash of some sort

They’d discussed the excursion in detail before even considering actually going on it. Gone over their route and what to expect and what to do if they did get separated, somehow. Cal had no idea how they’d been separated in the first place, but he could feel the pounding drum of his heartbeat in his fingers and toes, and the burn of fresh tears in his eyes.

    Anthology containing:

    To Live Without a Lifeline

"As far as Separatist prisons went, this wasn’t the worst one that Ahsoka had been in. Sure, the cells were a bit small, and she’d yet to meet her cellmate, who’d been dragged off for “questioning” a couple hours before she’d been thrown in here, but there was a common area that all prisoners were allowed to eat, exercise, and socialize in. She might not be allowed to, especially if they found out that she was a Jedi, but it was the thought that counted."
When a brief stint in a Separatist prison leads to a discovery that will change the course of the world, Ahsoka, Rex, and Kix are left reeling.

    What We're Fighting For

    "Lay your weapons down,
    We're calling off the war,
    On account of losing track,
    Of what we're fighting for."

Nine weeks after the mission to the Citadel, Ezra is settling in to the 212th. But as the war carries on around him, he, Ahsoka, and Rex must work through their differences if they want to make it through the war alive, while on the other side of the galaxy, Kanan and Sabine are not alone as they try to keep the Jedi Order alive.

    Let the Brokenness Be Felt

"Our nights have grown so long.
Now we beg for sound advice.
    Let the brokenness be felt
'Til you reach the other side.
There is goodness in the heart
    Of every broken man
Who comes right up to the edge
    Of losing everything he has."

With the end of the war rapidly approaching, the Jedi find themselves facing threat after threat. Meanwhile, the time travelers finally find themselves face-to-face...

    Summary

This is a softer universe than the one you know.

In this space shall be gen, romance, humor, family, all sorts of soft things. Mayhap in a time or two there will be a sprinkling of hurt or angst, but it shall only ever be a dusting to make the comfort all the sweeter.

You are safe here, my child, I swear it. No one wounds, no one dies.

(Except maybe Palpatine. Fuck that guy.)

Edit: I couldn't even kill Palpatine!

    Anthology containing:

A Prayer for Strength in Adversity

The vode form a Prayer Circle for Cody. He's not dying or anything. They just clocked his Jedi.

A slightly alternate first day of a first deployment.

    Serenity. Courage. Wisdom.

“Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.”

Rex has never needed a ‘prayer circle’ before in his life. Somehow, Kix gets the distinct impression he’s not about to start now. Oya Torrent!

    The Logistics of Inter-System Transit

Sure there's probably a war going on somewhere. But someone once said 'Space is vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big' and honestly, the vode spend way more time trucking between fronts than they do in actual combat.

Endless Brothers. Endless roadtrips. They entertain themselves.

    The Mascot We Don't Deserve

Captain Rex is formally included in the Clone Commander chat

    First Encounters

There's a stray little brother loitering in Squad Shebs' dorm. It's not gonna stay.

An Observation of a Captain outside his Native Environment

There's an image among the shinier brothers of the Indomitable Captain Rex, Suave Space Hero of Space.

Jesse knows better. Oh, does he know better! He has evidence to prove it, but it'll cost you.

Long enough to see the sunrise

The morning after the first night before. Cody and Obi-Wan and a moment where they decide they could make this work.

The Homefront is its own battlefield

Ponds and Fox engage in some percussive negotiations regarding allocations of essential republic resources.

    Trials of Mastery

Rex has spent months reinforcing the concept that whenever Skywalker encounters a situation he isn't equipped to handle, his first reaction should always be to bring that problem to Torrent and they'll solve it as a team. It's a strategy that has been overwhelmingly successful so far.

The tiny Jedi is new. Torrent will adapt.

    Rise to Grace

(Direct prequel to the Art of Bajur)

You don't just get over something like Ryloth

    The Art Of Bajur

Bajur: The Mando'a principle of the education and nurturing of children

Anakin demonstrates how far he's come

    Equipment Requisitioning

The Wolfpack would like to formally request a shipment of the new jetpacks Torrent just got. Chat fic.

    And Your Quiver Full

"Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are children born when you are young. Happy is the man who's quiver is full of them." - Psalm 127

Fruit and hugs might not fix everything for ever, but they're enough for now.

A moment in time between Rex and his littlest vod.

    Readiness Assessments

Torrent Company is apparently qualified for a padawan. Wave Company is also clearly qualified. Grey submits the documentation to that effect.

    Regrettable Life Choices

Rex soon finds out there's no such thing as a lazy morning lie-in when you're bunking with the Company's head medic.

    Just Gotten Taller

"Boys don't ever really grow up; they just get taller."

Cody and Rex investigate rumors that their line came from Concord Dawn. They find a hostile world, filled with things willing to kill them with very little provocation.

For a couple of unsupervised Mandalorian brothers? It's the best vacation.

(Animals were definitely, enthusiastically and irreparably harmed. To be fair, they started it.)

    Experiential Learning

Tup has a mission. Tup knows he will fail it. That's just what he does.

(Inspired by that one throwaway line in Bajur about making shinies go shopping)

    Cover Me

Green Company protects their own. That includes their Padawan.

    Behold, a Gentle Man

"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man"

Kix and Cody learn some harsh truths about his general's past. Kix learns some things about himself.

    Fear the Wise Man

"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man"

Cody, Obi-Wan, and a conversation filled with unhappy truths.

Coda to 'Behold, a Gentle Man'

What to Expect When You're Done Expecting

The time-honored tradition of drinks and parental commiseration is honored.

    The Cadet Squad Secrecy Pact

Why Commander Cody suggested Commander Bly might be able to help General Ti with that one fresher issue mentioned in 'What To Expect'

    The Temp

Ponds needs Bly to cover for him at work. His general won't even be in the office. It's foolproof.

    The Unknown Unknown

Cody and Obi-Wan meet a friend of Fox and Ponds. Maybe they can finally get the answer to That Question.

    (They can't.)

    Up for Reconsideration

Torrent's Padawan joins the Star Corps on the ground for a mission. Bly thinks he might be changing his mind about wanting his own Padawan. Now to convince Aayla...

    Golden Hour

Ponds has the unique privilege of seeing the Jedi Council in a way few do

    Alone Together

Barriss, Ahsoka and their first date. And all the mayhem that comes with that when you each have hundreds of brothers.

    Promotion Cycle Performance Review

Jesse very carefully maintains his reputation. It's exponentially more difficult when Rex keeps inflicting responsibility on him.

    Ever Inspire

It takes a certain type of man to become an officer in Captain Rex's Torrent. Dogma can see that man in Lt Hardcase.

    Target Set

A tiny moment of friendly rivalry between a Trooper and a Handmaiden

    Chrysalis

The boys are all due to grow out of their armor tomorrow. It turns out CCs have a specific ritual for that, and Squad Shebs finally has a little brother to participate.

    Breaking News

General Skywalker has something very important to tell Rex about Senator Amidala.

    Affection Returned

Sabé is mixing up dough for an alarming number of flowering rolls. Padmé is incredibly curious. Anakin wonders if leaping from a window is a viable exit strategy.

A Moment in the Rex Adopts a Jedi universe. In which adoption just keeps going.

    Sea in Storm

"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man"

Rex's biggest vice has always been rage.

Part 3 of Making of a Man, in which Torrent finds out about Anakin's past.

    Little Talks

Cody steals a warm moment with his favorite little brother.

    Accounting for All Variables

In 'Sea in Storm', Rex and Anakin discussed calling on the Force fast enough to use it defensively in hand-to-hand combat. Rex said he'd figure something out.

This is that 'something'. Bonus, it occupies all of Rex's current annoyances simultaneously.

    The Twins have some fun.

    Oncoming Storm

Rex is a planner, is almost religiously methodical. There was no chance that Torrent's staffing was a coincidence.

The Storm Forming, A Coda to Oncoming Storm

    Torrent finds their Scout.

    Eyes Ever Forward

It's the first time he's told anyone about Kit

    Child Of Mine

It will go down in history as the Vode's most viciously fought custody battle

    (Crack)

    Honor Guard

The Vod'alor has asked Torrent to ensure none of the Novas have to be alone on the way back to the Front. Torrent takes to the task with enthusiasm.

    Defining

Rex defines himself and his relationships as best he can.

    Expansionist Tendencies

    Rex's Skywalker-Naberrie babies are born.

    Upper Limits

ARC training pushes troopers to the brink. Rex wants a hug.

    In The Beginning

The Vode's very first adoption was Squad Shebs and the surly cadet they picked up.

    Programmed Misadventures

Obi-Wan and his men are trapped underground, his medic is particularly acerbic, he is overdue for his next fix of tea, and Wooley just saw an orange bat steal his lightsaber.

Obi-Wan never did get the hang of Taungsdays.

    Burgeoning

The Vod'alor builds his clan. Not everyone comes easily.

My Boyfriend Who Lives In Coruscant

Dogma has A Boyfriend. Domino has Concerns.

    Onesie Wars

A devastating war has torn through the Vode. Unbeknownst to all, instigators of both sides of the warring factions are deeply in cahoots...

    Retreat, Regroup

Cody's revenge for the bouncy bombs incident is gorgeous in both its simplicity and effectiveness.

    Learning Curve

Dogma just doesn't think about things the way it seems like everyone else does. He finds commiseration in a very strange place.

    Wholly Unprofessional

Recently, Rex's use of the Priority Alert has been ... suspect.

    Chatfic

    As Loyal A Man

The Jedi Council orders Obi-Wan to fake his own death.

(Edit: accidentally tagged major character death on upload. Now corrected: No archive warnings apply)

    Priority

There've been more and more things Cody's been hearing from other people. Things he should be hearing from Rex.

    Coming in to Follow-Through

Hevy and Cutup are ready for ARC certification, Droidbait can see that same as anybody. Same as he can see that he isn't ready, and no one quite knows what to do about it.

    Battle of Attrition

It is once again graduation time for the ARCs, and Rex once again has outstanding students in this class. Expected mayhem ensues. Chatfic

    Revisionist Reporting

Ahsoka needs some backup. She calls Jesse. Jesse steps up, like he always does.

    Best Foot

The Bad Batch has been assigned a joint mission with Torrent. They prepare.

Wishes and Prayers and a Limerick or Two

Trapper invites a strange mix of friends to his Armoring.

Or, alternatively, How Ghosts Walk Tall.

    Civilian Relations

    Adventures in the Coruscant Guard

    Golden-Painted Memories

Ponds prods his brothers into Golden Hour pictures. Mace observes.

    Just in Lockstep

Bacara and Neyo crash on a Separatist planet with no backup but each other. They'll make do.

    Medically Recommended

You get used to suddenly-appearing trouble when you're a Torrent medic. And if your General has a bad feeling about Rishi Moon, then you'd better prepare.

    Clones Share Bunk

Later, The Vode will ally with Naboo. But before that, Naboo approaches with an offer. Their Queen is a romantic, after all.

    It's Always on Taungsdays

Fox is having a rough morning. He's going to make it Rex's problem. Chatfic

    The Gulfs that Separate

Jet likes his Jedi, and Bacara respects him. Neither of them trust him.

    The More They Change

Rex is on Coruscant less than an hour before he's co-opted.

    Hearts and Minds

Once, Doom tried to steal Rex's ARCs. He gets everything he never wanted. Chatfic

    Authorized Developments

It's Dogma's group's first shore leave on Coruscant. Dogma wasn't looking forward to any part of it.

We only see our depths in analog

    Rex remembers apologies he owes

    Brick by Brick

He builds his Marines to endure.

    Clothes Make The Man

In which bonding activities go entirely according to plan. Just ... not entirely Cody's plan. (And not Rex's plan at all.)

    Presence Requested

Gree is summoned to chat for an emergency. It is, as usual, not particularly relevant to the war.

When on your journeys you meet a countryman

The Shebse raised Rex, but it turns out that most CCs haven't ever much interacted with CTs before.

    On The Defining Of Self

Boba's right on the edge of his future when he collides with his past

    Five Blankets (And One Nap)

In honor of Soft Wars' 100th Fic!

in a series that was supposed to be a threeshot

    Village Tactics

It takes a whole company to raise a kid sometimes. Other times it takes a gunner and a medic.

    Recurring Event

Torrent Command's Strategy Meetings sometimes includes playing pool and avoiding realizations. Some of those things work better than others.

    Truth Among Fantasy

Obi-Wan dispels some of Cody's misconceptions about the Jedi. One in particular.

    (CodyWan Week 2020 Day 1: Hurt/Comfort)

    Friendship Is (Space) Magic

Fox makes his beloved brothers some friendship bracelets. Everyone is immediately, understandably, suspicious.

    (Prompt: Fox, Friendship bracelets)

    Legitimate Medical Requirements

Rex chronicles a the years-long development that ended in this moment: with Ahsoka sitting on his back.

(Prompt: Rex, Ahsoka and/or Anakin, Cuddles)

    Fortuitous

Rex gets home earlier than he intended.

For roxythered on Tumblr's prompt: Kit and Bacara sparring, with Rex watching.

    A Shift to Change Perspective

A year later, Keller realizes he can have a life.

    Where we Build

There are a few fundamental differences between a tree and a house.

Ponds brings Colt an unexpected request

    With Each Revision, Improve

Neyo cannot let Fox win the Most Obnoxious Gift competition. (Sequel to Friendship is (Space) Magic. From a Tumblr prompt.)

    Dress Rehersal

The Wolfpack helps prepare Ahsoka for a Very Important Mission. Comet has an unfortunately vital role to play. (Sequel/Prequel to Legitimate Medical Requirements. From a Tumblr prompt.)

    When Wake We Do

Cody, Obi-Wan, and one reasonably unremarkable morning out of many.

(For the Friendly Competition square of Good Things Happen Bingo)

    Slightly Out Of Spec

The Alphas are assigned to train squads of the latest design of clones. Some expectations get reevaluated.

(For the Hijinks Square of Good Things Happen Bingo!)

    Colloquial Nuances

Cody and Rex (finally) figure out what certain Jedi have very loudly been not-saying.

    Retelling

There's a story in these marks. It could have ended very differently.

How to Buy A Home In Three Easy Steps

The obscenely popular star of 'You're Foxed' is in the market for a house. Of course they're gonna film it.

    Through Pestilence and Strife

Cody is trying his best, his absolute best, to romance his extremely attractive Jedi. Little brothers are the precise opposite of helping. Chatfic.

    Train up a Child

Ponds has always given Rex what he needs. Rex begins to understand what that means.

    Pedestal

For a Tumblr prompt: CT's don't interact much with Alphas. They don't quite know what to make of one that did.

    Sharing the Joy Around

Neyo's very special gift-giving technique strikes a new target

    The Art of Grafting

Hound has some reservations. Fox... helps. Eventually.

    What Money Can't Buy

The War Continues. This time the gifts are for everyone to share.

    Readjusting

Bacara knows some things for true that may not be any more. He learns, he adjusts.

    Eyes On

Hevy helps Hardcase in the Lt's continuing quest to grab one oblivious CC's attention. Hevy's not sure what the Lt's plan is, but he's sure it's brilliant.

    Common Censor

AKA The Time the Force Sent Obi-Wan Back in Time and Quinlan Vos kept him from Going Kamikaze because let’s be Honest, Being Forced to Come Back in Time Would Suck.

The Force has sent Obi-Wan back in time, allowing him a chance to fix everything.

Quinlan doesn't know this, all he knows is that the Force has been practically screaming at him to get to Obi-Wan. Quinlan might not be good at following the code, but he always does his best to follow the Force. Which is why he's there the day that Obi-Wan can't take it anymore.

Obi-Wan is a stubborn man, but Quinlan has his own special brand of stubborn, the force, two battalions of clones, one former padawan, and one grandpadawan on his side. Maybe, just maybe, they might be enough to save the galaxy and keep Obi-Wan sane.
