Currently on sort of a hiatus. No regular updates are scheduled at least but I’m not done with this universe.

    Anthology containing:

    Life Happens by Cdelphiki

While walking home from an event at Wayne Enterprises, Tim and Damian are kidnapped and sent to an alternate dimension. In a world where superheroes are merely comic book characters and the idea of the multiverse is only a theory found within the pages of science fiction, how are Tim and Damian going to return home? How long will they be stranded on this strange Earth? And will the boys murder each other before they figure it out?

    Tea by Cdelphiki

Tim and Damian have been trapped in this alternate universe for a month and a half, and Damian is hating every second of it. If only Drake weren't such an insufferable pest, ordering him around as if he were an adult and Damian a mere child. Where did the teen get off acting like that?

This is a one-shot that accompanies Life Happens.

An Imbecile and Pneumonia by Cdelphiki

Tim and Damian have been stranded in this stupid world for a year an a half. It really hasn't been that bad. Not entirely. Lately, Damian has been kind of enjoying himself. But then stupid Tim decided to be an idiot and ignore a cough for over a month. That's how the imbecile landed himself in the hospital. Now Damian has to deal with the fact that his only living relative was dying.

This is a short story that accompanies Life Happens
It takes place during Chapter 19: Eighteen Months

No Goodbye Lasts Forever by Cdelphiki

It's been a day since Tim Drake said goodbye to his little brother 'forever.' A whole day, and somehow that little brat is standing outside his apartment door. Tim is more than slightly confused.

This is a one-shot that accompanies Life Happens
It takes place between the final chapter and the epilogue.

    As Life Happens by Cdelphiki

A series of one-shots centered around the Batfamily in the Life Happens AU. Don't think too hard about the timeline. Some of these will just be for fun.

    1. Bristol runs away, and Bruce is there to catch her and set her straight.
    2. Damian hurts himself and Tim overreacts.

Like Father Like Sons by BrokenHeartedQueen & Cdelphiki

His entire life, Jason feared he would one day become his dad. A good-for-nothing criminal who beat on his family and ran off when he was needed most. An abusive loser, insignificant and deservingly unloved.

And there for a while, he thought he had become his dad.

But then he found an orphan in crime alley, and it hit him. He was like his dad. Just not the one he feared being like.

Like It Never Even Happened by Cdelphiki

Not even four years into their stranding in another world, Tim and Damian are suddenly transported back to the moments before their initial kidnapping. How will their family react to their sudden close relationship? Will anyone believe they've been stranded for so long?

Alternate ending to Life Happens. Diverges from chapter 23.

    Anthology containing:

    Two of Six

There’s nothing special about this kid, no reason to remember him. But Dick remembers. Because of the photo.

Dick and Tim’s pre-nu52 relationship, from the beginning all the way to the end.

or: how Dick acquired a stalker, attempted to make him go away, and failed so badly that he acquired a brother instead.

(So far: missing scenes from childhood, Lonely Place of Dying, Knightfall, and Knightsend. Current arc: Prodigal.)

only you will have stars that can laugh

You coming over is possibly the only thing that’s gonna stop me from wanting to punch your dad in the face, Dick doesn’t say.

My current Christmas Day plans are 1) pace around at home, and 2) try not to obsess about what Bruce is up to, so trust me, you’ll be an improvement, Dick doesn’t say.

Tim's alone on Christmas Eve. Dick finds out, and fixes it.

    The Return

“Tim? Can you open your eyes for me?"

It takes a bit, but Tim must be at least sort of coherent, because he blinks obediently. Dark, dark eyes, dilated. Concussion, almost for sure. Both pupils are equally large, so they’ve avoided a worse injury. But his eyes aren’t tracking or focusing, lost in space.

“Tim, do you know where you are?"

Tim’s forehead is all tense, like he’s thinking hard. “I,” he hazards after a long moment, “I fell?”

Red Robin 11 and 12, from Dick’s POV. Tim comes home.

    Red Letter Day

Dick Grayson, stressed pseudo-parent to a preteen assassin, tries to solve the case of Damian’s Mysterious Wednesday.

He never expected it to help him fix his relationship with Tim, too.

(... Though only after everything fell apart first.)

Eventual fix-it for Dick & Tim’s Red Robin fight, but other rocky relationships - Dick & Jason, Tim & Damian, Damian & Bruce, Dick & Bruce - wow, this family is dysfunctional - might improve too. Eventually. They just have to, y’know, work through All of Their Issues first. XD

    Snippets

In retrospect, the first sign that the entire month was going to be a disaster was when Jason called him. On his phone. At three in the morning.

Remember that one hilariously bonkers nu52 plotline where Damian challenged all the ex-Robins to duels?

Basically that. Except in the pre52 DickBats era when Dick is attempting to single-parent him. Snippet.

  7. Summary

Dick had the sort of scent that made people take notice. When we walked by even betas would stare. He was beautiful too. Like on another level gorgeous. The man possessed the sort of features that the rich paid millions to try to emulate. His sparkling sapphire blue eyes were framed by thick, curling eyelashes. His cheekbones and jaw were sharp and chiselled, his lips full and soft. He possessed a lean, perfectly muscled physique that screamed elegance and perfection. And of course, on top of everything else, he was kind and smart and had a wicked sense of humour.

People flocked to him. Everyone wanted to be in Dick Grayson's world.

    Jason fucking hated him.

    Summary

A collection of interconnected ficlets, one shots, and stories, all focused on the Bat Family. All are based on the comics only, but blend assorted canons.

    Anthology containing:

    The Fears of a Father

Bruce doesn't handle loss well. He thought he removed most of the concern for that by keeping most people away and fighting for justice every night. Then an eight-year-old boy entered his life, his home, and quicker than he could have ever imagined, his heart. Bruce slowly starts to learn how to manage the fears of a father.

    Tooth Fairy

The average child stops believing in mythical figures such as the tooth fairy around the age of eight.

Bruce Wayne didn’t know this when he adopted eight-year-old Dick Grayson.

    Daddy

The first time Dick called Bruce ‘Daddy’ occurred when the boy was mostly asleep and his new father was putting him to bed. He was never aware that he’d said it.

The second time Dick called Bruce ‘Daddy’ occurred when the boy was running a fever and his new father was caring for him. He was too ill to recall anything he’d said after he recovered.

The third time Dick called Bruce ‘Daddy’ is the first instance he was aware of.

    Robin Redbreast in a Cage

A Robin Redbreast in a cage puts all Heaven in a Rage. -William Blake.

They might be a different Trinity, one that operates out of Earth (and sometimes space), but it is still unwise to mess with their Robin. An up and coming crime lord learns this the hard way.

    Batdad Contingency Plan

When Bruce first decided to not only take Dick in, but allow the boy to be Robin, he knew he might need a contingency plan should his son ever be injured in such a way that questions arose. Not necessarily about them being secret vigilantes, but about how the child keeps getting injured or showing early signs of sleep deprivation. He fully intends to keep Dick safe, but no matter what happens, no one is taking his son from him.

    Shovel Talk

When Dick comes out to Bruce as a teenager, Bruce doesn't expect it change anything. Then a boy arrives at the Manor looking for Dick and he realizes, it does.

    The Hero Gotham Needs

Tim considers the new Robin as he watches him.

    National Grandparents Day

Jason hadn’t even known there was a National Grandparents Day. He never had grandparents.

    But now he did.

One who was by far the coolest person Jason had ever met (and yes, that was counting Batman and Superman).

    Alfred was his grandfather.

    Here There Be Unicorns

When one of Young Justices early missions goes wrong, Tim makes an unexpected discovery.

    Or maybe more than one.

    Laughter

Most people, including the vast majority of the Justice League, would say that Batman never laughs.

This wasn’t propaganda. They truly believed the man never laughed. Mainly because they never heard him laugh. Even most of the few who knew who his identity would attest that he never laughed. They’d heard Bruce Wayne laugh on television or a video online, but it was never real. The laughter was just part of his disguise.

There were those who knew better, of course.

    No More Dead Kids

Robin was the first. The first sidekick. The first child hero.

The first kid to meet a violent end orchestrated by one of the adult killers they so often faced.

He should have been the last.

    He wasn’t.

If the grown-up heroes weren't going to make sure there weren't any more dead kids, then Jason would.

    Laundry Day

Alfred normally could afford to let his concentration shift away from his chores. As of late, however, he finds that one particular duty has taken significantly more concentration. That being laundry.

It was always so simple before. He could never mistake an article of his own clothing for something of Bruce’s. The same went for Bruce and Dick or Jason. Even when his eldest two grew large enough to possibly borrow Bruce’s casual wear items, neither likely would. They had very different tastes. Even if Tim liked something of one of his elder brothers’, he would never fit into them. The same went for Cassandra. Certainly, one would never confuse any of Bruce’s laundry for Tim or Cassandra’s.

Tim and Cassandra’s clothes, however, were another story.

    Tim's Superhero T-Shirts

Three reasons why Tim wears so many superhero t-shirts.

    Godfather Batman to the Rescue

Bruce receives a call from his godson, Jon, when the boy is in need of help. Naturally, Bruce takes care of it.

    The Failsafe

(Or: Tim finally gets a hold of some Kryptonite and Jason learns that his little brother might actually look up to him)

    Jason Todd, Stealthy Big Brother

Jason Todd doesn't do the big brother thing. Except that sometimes, he does. He just doesn't let anyone know. Unsurprisingly, Tim and Cassandra figure it out anyway.

    Red Bat of the Family

Or: Jason and his siblings try to make it work despite the gun thing.

    Batdad Rules

Bruce knows he asks a lot of his children. He knows how very strict he is with them. Some say his rules are too rigid, that he’s too dominant, too controlling. Most of the people who say these things don’t have children and they certainly don’t have children who are secretly vigilantes. If they did, they would understand.

His rules are in place for a good reason.

That's not to say that he doesn't let a certain rule slip every now and then.

    The Batdad Partition

Bruce has a partitioned hard drive on his phone and the ‘hidden’ partition has the most hardcore security on it. No one is getting into that part without his permission. Some members of the Justice League or Bat Family have discovered this and they all have theories on what he keeps on it.

The only one who has ever actually cracked it is Tim. It wasn't what anyone guessed. Not that he'll ever tell.

    The Timmy Text Flowchart

AKA Tim is naturally suspicious and terrible at flirting so his siblings devise a quick way to help him when he just doesn't understand why one of his co-workers is behaving 'oddly'.

    Bruised Batkids

When Bruce first took in Dick and allowed him to be Robin, hiding and sometimes explaining injuries was a big concern. Eventually, a natural excuse presented itself. The same stood true for each of Bruce's other children.

    A Batdad Father's Day

Bruce's children each have their own way of acknowledging the holiday (or in some cases, not).

    The Stand-In

Sometimes Tim felt like Tim Drake was just a stand-in for Robin. A placeholder in the world until the Boy Wonder was called on again. An elaborate cover story that only existed to hide the truth.

    While the Bat's Away

Everything had fallen apart after Bruce died.

That’s what if felt like to his children anyway.

Batman was gone and the family he left behind were doing their best, but they weren’t him. They didn’t have his skill at hiding the person behind the mask so completely.

They were hurting and it showed.

They fell apart. Then they pulled themselves (and each other) back together.

    Sweet Apologies

When Dick told Damian he had to apologise to Tim, he didn't expect the apology to be conventional but he certainly didn't expect this.

    Height Checks

Damian is catching up to Tim's height. He can't wait to be taller than the second-youngest Wayne child. Unfortunately, he's the only one who doesn't know that Tim has no problem being the smallest. After all, he always was before Damian came along.

    Bat-Cow and Kit-Cow

Damian decides that Bat-Cow needs companionship after visiting the Kent family farm. He and Jon come up with a plan. They really need to learn that not everything is a secret mission.

    Dex-Starr Finds a New Home

In which Tim Drake-Wayne finally gets the cat he's always wanted and Bruce Wayne finally spends some quality time with his boys.

    Bat Family Projects

Bruce and his children start a group text chain, work on another family project, pick up some new hobbies, confront a few issues and make some good memories.

It seemed they weren’t going to run out of family projects for some time. Bruce was glad for that. He was even glad it meant receiving more off subject texts from his kids. When it came down to it, no matter how much extra work or time it might take, he would rather be part of his children’s lives than not.

    Cassandra's Sleeping Habits

Cassandra has her own apartment. Bruce got it for her after it wasn’t safe for her to live at Barbara’s place anymore. What he didn’t know, was that Cassandra rarely ever uses the apartment.

    Bat-Pizza's Grand Re-Opening!

Dick has lunch with Damian, teaches him about pizza parties and eggplant emoji, and tries to plant the seeds for a better relationship between Damian and Tim. Its a bit of work, being the eldest Wayne child, but Dick loves it.

    One Step Forward

Wanting to improve their relationship, Bruce decides to invite Jason to dinner at the Manor. It doesn't go as smoothly as planned, but he thinks he's making progress anyway.

Or: Bruce finally stops using the eggplant emoji.

    By Love or Fate

At a social gathering, Bruce meets a charming elderly woman and talks about his children. In doing so, he realizes how much his kids mean to him and how much they've changed him for the better.

Little does he know, they're about to save him again. And not in the usual way.

    Peanut Butter Jelly Time

How each member of the Bat Family makes a PB&J.

    Day of the Un-Dead

When the Wayne family is finally ready to bring Jason back from the dead legally, they decide to have a private celebration first. Nothing particularly noteworthy happens when compared to the sort of things the family usually does together, but its still one of the best nights of Bruce's life.

    Another Batdad Father's Day

Bruce's children decide to do something a little different this year. It doesn't go exactly as planned, but it still becomes one of his favorite Father's Days.

    Batfamily Scars

Moonlighting as a vigilante came with no small number of challenges. Explaining where your time and money went. Explaining injuries and absences for yourself and your children. Explaining how you came about adopting said children. Explaining other relationships, like how a born and raised Gothamite billionaire knew a Metropolis reporter originally from Kansas.

It also meant you gathered a fair number of scars that you had to explain occasionally.

    Last Laugh, First Steps

Running a large portion of the Gotham underground as a benevolent crime lord was harder than Jason thought it would be, but still well within the range of what he could handle. All in all, it wasn’t that different from being the type of vigilante Bruce had trained him to be become. He was feeling like he was doing a decent job as part of the Bat Family these days. The Wayne family, he wasn't so sure about.

Until he receives an unexpected call from Dick while on patrol one night and the words he hears next change everything.

Tim's hurt...the Joker's involved. B and Little D are out of town. Cass is here with me and it’ll take us too long t-

    “Where?”

His death. His anger. His father. His role as a brother, as a son, as a grandson. Jason decides its time to take it all on. If he's going to help his little brother recover, then he's going to have to heal himself as well.

    A Dark Place

Conner stops by to see Tim after he's kidnapped by the Joker. Tim isn't in a good place but his best friend and his big brother are there to help. And, of course, there's Dex.

    Nightmares

After what they've both suffered at the hands of the Joker, Jason and Tim tend to have nightmares featuring the Rogue. Fortunately, they both also have each other to help them cope with the horrific dreams. The nightmares might be bad, but the time they're awake more than makes up for them.

    I, Dex-Starr

How Dex came to be Tim's cat, and how he handles his owner being hurt, from his perspective.

    Better Late Than Never

The Bat Family finally gets around to reading the Harry Potter books (or in some cases not). While sharing this new interest, they end up touching on a subject long avoided and Bruce has to wonder if ‘late’ is truly much better than ‘never’.

    The House Tournament

Dick decided that their family, and several friends, should take a Hogwarts House quiz after Alfred got all the kids to check out the Harry Potter books. They ended up with pretty decent house teams once it was all done. When they realized this, it was decided that an multi-house tournament was needed. In order to balance out the teams, they decided on a video game tournament.

In which the Waynes, the Kents, and a few other friends have a team video game tournament.

    Homecoming

After being brought back from the dead physically and then legally, the night of Jason's homecoming ball is finally here. He just wants it over with. He's happy to be able to publicly use his name and acknowledge his family. Having to wear a tuxedo, talk to reporters, and deal with upper class busybodies, not so much.

For better or worse, Jason Todd-Wayne is officially back in Gotham.

    The Wayne Family Petting Zoo

Sending his son to Lian's birthday party should have been simple. Bruce didn't know about the petting zoo, or duck mating habits. He didn't expect it to turn into a whole project that involved each of his children. He didn't expect it to trigger his youngest child's temper.

He also didn't expect his other children to know exactly how to handle it, but they did.

Bruce was never more proud than when he saw them helping each other. That was something that was happening more often as of late. If basically having a petting zoo on the grounds meant he saw even more of it, then Bruce supposed he could deal with a few more animals.

    The Talk of Relationships Past

In which Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Tim end up discussing their failed relationships in order to figure out who is best suited talk to Damian about romance and dating after he demands his father set aside some time to have The Talk.

    Bat Family R&D

In which Jason and Bruce realize that Tim has become the entire family's R&D department after he is incommunicado for only a couple of days.

    Father-Son Camping Trip

When Batman met Superman, he was mistrustful. When Bruce Wayne met Clark Kent, he was suspicious. Between saving the world together, forming the Justice League, and helping each other as they raised several kids, they became friends.

As their children became friends and they started to spend more and more time together, being guests at each other’s houses, taking a pair of their kids somewhere together, and supporting each other when one of their children threw them a curve ball became regular occurrences. They were exposed to many of the same interests through their children. They were exposed to many of the same concerns.

Eventually this leads the Wayne family (at least, some of them) and the Kent family to go on a joint father-son camping trip.

    Home Hunting

For all the different places Cassandra had lived, she’d never actually had to go apartment hunting before. She’d either crashed with a friend or family member, moved from one temporary dwelling to another, or her father or little brother set something up for her. So when she moved to Bludhaven, she didn’t exactly come with a long-term plan.

Fortunately, her big brother had her covered.

    Roses

This story should read well on it's own, but it references a few other stories from this series:
'Dex-Starr Finds a New Home' (Wherein Dex becomes Tim's cat & gets his catio).
'Last Laugh, First Steps' (Wherein the Joker kidnaps Tim, Jason and Bruce have the fight mentioned here, and it's first suggested that Cassandra should move back to Blüdhaven).
'Home Hunting' (Wherein Dick helps Cassandra find her apartment in Blüdhaven).

Cassandra breaking into Tim's apartment to take super long showers and eat all his Rice Krispies is from Robin #134.
Cassandra got the rose mentioned here in Batgirl #17 and kept it until she left it in Brenda's care in Batgirl #66.
The destruction of Blüdhaven mentioned here takes place during Infinite Crisis.

    Learning to Let Go

Stephanie Brown stops by Jason and Tim's place to ask a favor. They discover that sometimes, the people involved in a failed relationship move on easier than those around them. Blüdhaven gets a new crime fighting team and the eldest Wayne brothers get into a brief texting war that goes bad quick. There's also a shootout and some lessons learned. Considering how strange things can get in their world, it all actually goes really well.

    Alfred's Latest Scrapbook

Bruce takes a peek at Alfred's latest scrapbook. Feelings ensue.

    Kidnapping the Waynes

Someone wants to exploit Bruce Wayne. They decide to go after his children, hiring Rogues and criminals to do their dirty work. Fortunately, the Wayne family is much more capable than Bruce's enemies expect. Alone, they're impressive. Together, they're unstoppable.

    The Trysting

The story of Tim Wayne's kidnapping during Kidnapping the Waynes.

Talk of Relationships Past and Future

Bruce finally gets around to talking to Damian about dating and romance, and especially, how to avoid the issue in balancing that with a secret identity that he and the boy's brothers have experienced. He decided to make it a family discussion, so everyone learns a few things, plus some old hurts and secrets come out. There's fighting, and comforting, and some joking around. It doesn't go the way Bruce expected, but all in all, he thinks he goes well.

    Bat-Naps

Each of Bruce's children have been known to be able to nap just about anywhere.

    Robin and Pup Pup

How Tim came to own a Robin plush and how Jason's Pup Pup plush got a friend.

    The Wrath Returns

When there's a quiet breakout at Blackgate, an old enemy returns and Alfred gets a first-hand view of how Jason and Tim work as a team and under pressure. Watching them in action is both beautiful and terrifying and he is incredibly proud of the two boys. When Bruce returns in the middle of it all, he has to opportunity to offer some guidance. After all, Alfred was the adopted father of a genius vigilante long before Bruce was.

    A Painful Q&A

After Bruce learned that Jason had revenge sex with one of his exes, he wanted to make sure said ex wasn't a threat to his son or anyone else's children. Since Jason wouldn't tell him who she was, Tim agreed to look into it for him.

Which is how the boy finds himself sitting face to face with Talia al Ghul as they have a discussion that brings up the most recent worst moments in each of their lives. He gets answers, but is left with some painful questions as well.

    Flowers

Damian learns a little about flower language and lot about family.

    Ficlets & Headcannons

A collection of Bat Family mini ficlets and headcannons that add to this universe I've built here but aren't really a full story in their own right.

    Uncomfortable Situations

Based on a comment a friend of mine made on the nude scene in Batman: Damned. "I don't care that they showed Batman's genitals, I care that he showed his genitals in the cave, right where any of his kids could have walked in and seen him."

So here are five one-shots depicting what might have happened if any one of Bruce's children came into the cave on that morning and found their father just hanging out there naked.

Concern, discomfort, confusion, shame, and questions about masturbation ensue.

    Happy Little Accidents

Bruce and Lois have a quiet, friendly moment at a gala. Memories of their children make them laugh and cry a little.

Tricks and Treats and Bats and Birds

While visiting their friends at the Kent family farm, Jason, Tim, and Damian end up making some unexpected plans for Halloween. A pie-off, pumpkin carving, figuring out costumes, trick or treating, and of course, patrolling Gotham are all on the agenda.

    Nightwing and His Blüdhaven Bomben

Nightwing's Blüdhaven Bomben gain another member and a base of operations. Tim and Wally each visit, and everyone has a pretty good Halloween.

The Wayne Studio of Arts and Acrobatics

When Bruce bought a building in Blüdhaven for Dick and Cassandra to use as a base of operations for their crime fighting team, the family realized they needed an explanation for it. Fortunately, they came up with something pretty quick.

The Wayne Studio of Arts and Acrobatics.

    Gothamite Spotlight

An interview with Bruce Wayne's children, as printed in the Gotham Gazette's new column: Gothamite Spotlight.

Topics include Bruce Wayne's parenting techniques and how they've changed from child to child; the names we choose, use, and live under; kidnappings; Wayne Enterprises; pets; Jason Todd-Wayne's 'death' and return to Gotham; Alfred Pennyworth, the unofficial grandfather; jobs; friendships and romances; living under public scrutiny; and the meaning of family.

AKA: A look into what the Gotham public sees, hears, and believes about the Wayne family and how the Waynes help shape their public images.

    Talk Turkey

Jason and Damian get into a brief but heated argument when Jason brings up his favorite holiday -Thanksgiving- and its customary dish, which Damian takes issue with. Dick steps in when cannibalism comes up. Tim and Bruce have a separate but related argument when Tim decides Bruce needs to start respecting Damian's values. And everything gets settled one way or another.

Its the holidays. Its what brothers do.

    Thankful

A sweet moment between brothers occurs when Jason comes home for Thanksgiving.

    Holiday Shopping

Bruce agrees to go shopping on Black Friday with all his kids. Fun, guilt, bonding, frustration, and a holiday resolution ensue.

    Vantage Point

Clark never used his powers to spy on his children. That didn’t mean he didn’t use his powers to check on them at times, but that wasn’t the same thing at all. Spying was seeing what they were doing for no reason other than he wanted to know or catch them doing something. Checking on them was because he’d heard, seen, or felt something that made him concerned there might be something going on with one of them that he needed to help with or address.

Conner was at the age (and of the personality type) that keeping an ear out when he had a girl over was just smart. Recently though, Clark had found himself nursing a concern that he wasn’t sure was warranted or not. He wasn’t sure what to make of some incidents involving Conner and Tim.

    Holiday Tales

A collection of short stores that take place during the holiday season.

    Advent

Bruce puts together an Advent Calendar for Damian. Thoughts on family and parenthood ensue.

    Holiday Trappings

Jason has always been a man of action more than a man of words. He knows he's never been great at the traditional family stuff, so he decides to use the holidays to show his family and friends how much they mean to him.

Boxing Day (AKA: Alfred Pennyworth Appreciation Day)

Boxing Day is not typically observed in the United States. However, it has long been celebrated in Stately Wayne Manor, where one Alfred Pennyworth resides.

A Good Day for Damian Wayne

A day in the life of Damian Wayne that includes vaccines for Joker Venom and Fear Toxin (along with some side effects), training with his sister, lunch with his favorite brother, ice cream, bonding with his siblings while they teach him how to play games that don't involve winning or losing, and dinner with the family.

    Bat Family Text Chain

A series of one shots showing some of the discussions from the Wayne family text chain.

    Just Us Communicating

Series Summary: A one-shot series featuring communications over comms or texts from the current and former members of Young Justice.

    Keeping Track

When Jason and Tim start working on a project to be able to keep each other safer, they end up learning something new about their eldest brother.

    Elite Fairy Godmothers

Cassandra wasn’t normally excited about balls, especially ones that her brothers weren’t going to be attending. However, she was looking forward to a night with her father, even in such a setting. And she was happy to help a worthy cause, in however small a way.

Of course, her life being what it was, Cassandra marked the ball on her calendar and then ultimately forgot about it over the next two weeks, while she fought crime, trained their new teammates, worked at the Studio, practiced her dancing, and worked with Harper to turn her new hearse into a kick-ass vigilante vehicle. In fact, she forgot until it was really too late to be working out the details.

Twenty-two minutes later, she was in the secret base of the Blüdhaven Bomben, with her team fully prepared to finish getting her ball-ready in record time, like a group of elite fairy godmothers. Assuming fairy godmothers could beat up mobsters and solve crimes in their spare time as well as make a young woman ball-ready in less than two hours.

    Boy Wonders

In both Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Penitentiary, the young vigilante known as Robin was something of a hot topic. The patients and inmates often traded notes on the Boy Wonder in an attempt to figure out just how many there had actually been to date. They tried to figure out what had happened to each one. They tried to guess which Robin had put each of them there at what time.

    Playing Roles and Being Real

Tim, Jason, Damian, Conner, Bizarro, and Jon decide to play a game of Wizards & Warriors. It does not go as planned, but they end up having a good time anyway, even if an out of game detour results in one boy in tears, another with a mild injury, and a small fire in the den.

    Where Children Come From

A nurse at the hospital observes Bruce Wayne as he waits for news about one of his children and answers a difficult question from a child waiting to meet his little brother.

“Do you have kids, mister? Where do they come from?”

Cookie Sales, Questions, and New Directions

Bruce sales some Brown Bat cookies alongside Tim and Lian Harper. This leads to some unexpected questions and some very concerning answers.

    Bat Trolls

Dick, Jason, and Tim use fake online profiles to keep the Batman's urban legend status among civilians while also making him all the more terrifying to criminals.

After all, it was hard enough to sell someone on the idea of a vigilante dressed a bat running around Gotham for years without being caught on camera. Adding to that rumors of vampirism, ghosts, cyborgs, time-travel, and the like just make it even harder to believe. Unless the someone you were selling it to happened to be caught by the Batman one day. Then, it was hard to know what to believe.

World's Finest: Red Robin & Robin

In which Tim and Damian team up and have a few needed discussions, Dick gets some reassurance that he's loved, and Damian gets a pet alpaca (sort of).

Damian didn't know where it would go, this path they’d started upon. He knew he was likely to lose his temper or lash out at several points along the way.

He also knew he wanted to see where that road lead them.

    Mystic Blades and Little Brothers

Both can cut you and protect you. Jason is reminded of this the first time he summons the All-Blades in Tim's presence and has to explain what they are and how he uses them.

    Little Brothers, Big Problems

Dick didn't think arranging for his little brothers to see a charity showing of Big Hero 6 together was going to lead to any turmoil or life altering decisions, but in hindsight, he really shouldn't be surprised.

    Reflection

Tim had taken to avoiding mirrors for a while now.

He was aware that it was a very short term solution to a very permanent problem.

He didn’t know what else to do.

Alfred Pennyworth: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Alfred Pennyworth first became a legend to Her Royal Majesty's Infantry Rangers and MI6 .
Then, more importantly to him, he became one to his grandchildren.
Through their stories, he became a legend to an entire generation of young heroes.
This caught the attention of Princess Diana and led to him becoming a legend to the Amazons of Themyscira and Bana-Mighdall.
Then, he became one to the very gods the Amazons worshiped.
One day, he may even learn of how far his legend goes himself.

ETA: I failed to break this huge beast down into logical parts because I never thought this could be a series. But for all those who shudder and balk at the total word count, here is a bit of structure to facilitate reading:

Season 1: Chapter 1 - Chapter 44 // Close to the original TV-series; mainly fluff and humor
Season 2: Chapter 45 - Chapter 93 // Darker-themed continuation; largely features angst and family drama
Season 3: Chapter 94 - Chapter 150// Transition times, family trials & tribulations but also lighter themes here & there
Season 4: Chapter 151 - ongoing // Tying up loose ends

Every piece of the signal Tim unlocked revealed more locks, and by the time he broke through the last one, he was already mentally rehearsing his many upcoming talk show appearances. 'Yes,' he told the interviewer, 'it was difficult for me, a ten-year-old genius, to break open the worldwide alien conspiracy. That's why it took a whole hour.'

When the crackling audio started, he expected some weird alien language. Maybe squawks and high-pitched squeals mixed with musical woofs. Maybe they wouldn't talk at all, and images would beam directly into his mind. Maybe they'd talk in practiced English with a Midwestern drawl like their other resident alien.

Instead he heard a low, guttural voice growling out of his computer speakers. "Robin," it said. "Are you in position?"

    Anthology containing:

    Colony

The Bats are a family like any other--they argue, they laugh, they dress up in costumes and beat criminals to a pulp with their bare fists.

    You know, normal family things.

A series of unconnected one-shots centered around Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian. Other characters will appear periodically.

    Museum Mishap

Middle-School Tim Drake is on a field trip to the Science Museum, but with a WE exhibition of top-secret new technologies being staged in the basement, Tim separates from his classmates and breaks into the staff-only areas by using the skills he's developed over years of stalking Batman and Robin.

Current-Robin Jason Todd catches him in the act, but he's not there to confront Tim for trespassing or truancy - he's there because there's a rumor on the street that Tim Drake knows Batman's real name. And the rumor's gaining ground, quick, drawing in the wrong kind of attention.

When a Drug-Lord decides to take the rumor seriously enough to kidnap the little genius, Jason jumps into the crossfire.
It all goes downhill from there. Fast.

A (SMART) Bird's Guide to Manners

    Alfred is Magic.
His sheer epic-ness shows itself clearly as he raises an unruly flock of baby birds.

A new drug is sweeping through the streets, killing almost everyone it touches. GCPD's given up on finding the culprit, of even figuring out what the new drug IS, and Batman is on the case. He, Nightwing, and Robin are actively investigating with support from Batgirl and a very special stalker who's becoming part of the family faster than anyone realizes.

Except Jim Gordon... Jim Gordon is not surprised. He would be amused if not for the ridiculous caseload on his desk and the hopelessness of the new drug to which most of his cases are linked. But perhaps the new kid can help.

    Red Rising

Tim doesn’t believe in heroes any more. He has no reason to. That fantasy is beyond him now.

Jason Peter Wayne-Todd is dead. Robin, the Boy Wonder, Batman's young partner… Tim’s idol… and his friend… has died. Tim had just gotten used to the idea of having a friend… and now that friend is dead. It's a fact at this point. A statistic.

    Robin is Dead.
But Batman NEEDS a Robin. And since Jason died for the Crusade, since Jason LIVED for it... Tim's gonna protect that legacy no matter what. Tim's world might be ending, but he's going to ensure that Gotham stays standing in the aftermath.

    ***

A stand alone Tim Drake becoming Robin story that follows his struggle to become an adequate replacement for the hero that he idolized - one that doesn't make him an athletic prodigy, or magic him into being awesome. This is a story that takes the grit and determination (and mild psychosis and penchant for obsessiveness) that naturally makes him awesome and shows how he applies that to becoming worthy of the Robin mantle.

It fits into the AU of this series (where Tim and Jason met while Jason was Robin), but it can easily be read without the others.

i didn't want to be (here)

    .
The BatFam has reached an Impasse, with Jason running Crime Alley as Red Hood and the rest of them just kind of ignoring it as long as Hood doesn't kill outside his territory.

Tim thinks it's bullshit and is hell bent on getting the family to reconcile – even if it kills him (which it probably might).

When Tim shows up on Jason's roof, punch drunk and dying, the ex-Robin winds up saving his Replacement and suddenly has to deal with the consequences of his choices (and so does everyone else)...
    ___

Fits into the Series AU (with Tim and Jason meeting while Jason was Robin), but can be read without the others.

    Trading Faces

It's been 5 years since Jason died.
It's been 4 years since he came back with a chip on his shoulder and a taste for bloodshed.
It's been 2 years since he started trying to detox from the Lazarus Pit and rejoin the Family.
It's only been a year since his last major blow-up with the Family, 9 months since the last time he injured a fellow Bat severely enough to land them on the sidelines for over a week.

So this working together with Red Robin thing is still new, still fragile, and Jason is not the only one struggling to cope with it. And when a routine disruption of a smuggling operation takes an odd turn, Tim and Jason find themselves with a whole new perspective to sift through.

AKA - that stand-alone Bodyswap (taken very seriously) Fic I promised.

    Multiverse Mishap | BatFam Version

One slip up in the lab has Tim Drake careening into a new world where things are rather dramatically different from the world he’s used to. Fortunately, this is not his first rodeo. He knows how to handle this nonsense, more or less at least. Unfortunately, the people of the world he’s wound up in see things a little differently. And when Dick Grayson and Jason Todd mount an ill-conceived rescue mission, things get complicated very quickly.

    --

ie, Little dumbass Timmy Drake makes an oops, big time. When he gets sucked into an alternate dimension rather far removed from the one he knows, he’s mistaken for a certain missing angel by Sam and Dean Winchester and taken back to their “bat cave”… Things just spiral out from there, and between that good ol’ Winchester Luck, traditional BatFam nosiness, and a few surprise guests, that spiraling is bound to be a quick slide downhill… But just maybe, it’ll be enough to force a few extra stubborn someones to actually confront that dreaded villain known as their own emotional wellbeing (and certain, romantically inclined feelings they harbor).

Dick leans forward and meets Percy's concerned gaze. "I don't think you 'teleported here' like Kid Flash said. I think you're from a different universe and were pulled into ours."

His proclamation is met by a tense silence, all of them staring at him in disbelief. Finally, Percy flops back into the couch, looking blankly at the ceiling of the room. "I hate my life."

    Calling It: Good Intentions

Timothy Jackson Drake has been Red Robin for nearly three years now. Ever since he was summarily kicked out of the Batfam (no matter what anyone in the Batfamily said), he’s been taking care of himself. He has his own back and doesn’t need anybody else's help, no matter what the Titans may say (and they have a lot to say on the issue). Tim doesn’t need a safety net when he flies.

    Anthology containing:

Family and Dissociation from Awkward Situations

Jason's returned to Gotham to find things oddly different, but mostly the same. As he reacquaints himself with the Bats, and as they begin a new case or two, it might just turn out that the Red Hood belonged there all along. Reunions are uncomfortable, but sometimes they just might be worth it.

    The Flying Graysons et al.

Dick Grayson is mourning losses, just like the rest of them, no matter how hard he tries to keep smiling.

They all notice. In an attempt to make Dick feel better when Haly's Circus returns to Gotham near the anniversary of his parents' deaths, the rest of the Robins form a plan: they will perform a routine at the circus for Dick, surprising him completely. This goes just about how you can expect.

    Growing Pains

Time travel can cause even minor shifts, but maybe this was how things were supposed to happen. Bruce gets married, his kids grow up, and life moves on.

or: superheroes deserve a bit of happiness and domesticity. Give them a minute to realize it, and we'll have happily ever after in no time.

    Where's My Goddamn Dinosaur?

Tim closes his eyes, calculating. Based on the energy involved for a one week reset, he’s looking at a minimum displacement of about five years for the copy. His eyes sting as he fully grasps that if this works, one Tim will get to reunite with his friends and family, hold them and speak to them again, and work together to unleash all the contingencies and strategies he’s come up with to kick those invading alien assholes the fuck out, and the other Tim, the copy… won’t. He’ll wake up somewhen, isolated and traumatized, without friends, family, or any allies at all.

Well, shit. Whatever, at least Other Tim will know it worked. And he’s never minded the idea of sacrificing himself to save others. He confirms the calibration of the device, and pushes the big red button. Of fucking course there’s a big red button, supervillains are so predictable.

His last thought as the lights explode in his head and he tastes color is I hope computers are a thing whenever Other Tim lands. I’d hate to be put on trial for witchcraft. Fuck it, if I overshoot I’m gonna ride a goddamn dinosaur. Hell. Yes.

    Let's Relish This Moment

Timmy dives, knowing he’s too late even as everything in his being screams for him to be just a little bit faster, just that fractional amount better that he has to be, needs to be if he’s going to be able to save Damian…

This is NOT as serious and angsty as the summary makes it sound, WOW that's misleading. And yet, I'm not going to change it…

    Love's Like a Batarang

The other Bruce narrows his eyes at Batman, clearly judging and finding him wanting. “As we both know, traveling directly between our universes would disrupt their stability. It took me some time to develop a workaround, or I would have given you this much sooner.”

He telegraphs nothing, which is why Batman has no time to react or dodge the solid punch that knocks him clean off his feet and onto the hard Cave floor, jaw on fire.

    Where's My Goddamn Dinosaur What-Ifs

“Timothy and his partner will be taking care of you from now on.” Janet Drake addresses the now-sleeping baby in Talia’s arms as though perfectly convinced she will somehow both absorb and understand what the woman is saying.

Watching this, I’m suddenly understanding a lot more about my childhood.

“The fuck is goin’ on here? Jesus fuckin’ Christ, don’t tell me we got a kid now, Prettyboy. I just stopped on the way home to pick up the damn groceries. I was not gone long enough for you to somehow conceive and gestate our child.”

    Where's My Goddamn Happy Ending?

Jason opens his eyes, instantly knowing something’s different because his arms are empty. His heart wrenches in his chest because Tim’s not there anymore.

He’s on his knees in the Cave and it only takes him a few seconds to spot the case with his tattered old murder-suit in it like a fuckin’ macabre trophy on display. With a rising sense of indignation, he realizes he is definitely not the Jason who was sent one week into the past to save the world and get the Timmy.

He’s the other one. Well, shit. Jason scowls. Where’s my goddamn happy ending?

Too Damn Late (Right on Time)

It’s really weird that Dick is not quite twenty years old right now compared to Tim’s seventeen, soon to be eighteen. He seems so much younger than he did the first time around, when a twelve year old Tim tracked him down and tried to convince him to go back to being Robin.

Dick has already surprised him by seemingly accepting his wild story about time travel. Well, hopefully he’ll be willing to go out on even more of a limb now.

Now, how best to phrase this? Jason’s his dead little brother—I have to find a way to tell him my plan delicately.

“Hey Dick,” Tim says, and then freezes as his mind abruptly goes blank. He stares at Dick, who returns his gaze expectantly. He opens his mouth and blurts out, “How are you at gravedigging?”

    Falling Through the Multiverse

Tim wakes up in the Cave and opens his eyes. He glances around, his heart seizing at what he sees. The cup of coffee Alfred set at his elbow earlier is gone. Based on the undisturbed layer of dust which blankets the surface of the desk, it looks like it was never there in the first place.

“No,” he whispers, throat tightening. This isn’t right.

The feeling that he is somewhere else, somewhere he isn’t supposed to be, grows exponentially as he takes in a hundred tiny differences in his surroundings, from the level of the Batcomputer tech to the contours of the chair he’s sitting in. This wasn’t supposed to happen.

He realizes with a growing sense of horror that if he’s fallen into a new universe again—this time without the impetus of having recently activated the device—then there’s no guarantee it won’t happen again. And again.

    Oh, god.
