    Summary

A series where Jason never dies, but the Waynes’ weird neighbor kid gets strung along for the ride all the same.

(Alternatively: that one series where Tim Drake gradually develops a file at Gotham General as thick as a phonebook because he's quite possibly the Unluckiest Boy in the World.)

    Anthology containing:

5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home by motleyfam

    Tim is good at galas.

No, scratch that—Tim is great at galas. He’s been attending them ever since the age of three, when his parents first stuffed him into his little Gymboree tuxedo and gave him a stern lecture about ‘sitting quietly’ and ‘speaking when spoken to.’ He knows all the rules: what to wear, how to stand, when to smile, what to say, what not to say. He knows how to come across as polite and intelligent and charming, and on absolutely any other day, he would be rocking this.

    ---

Or, my take on a ‘Tim Joins the Family Early’ AU, told through a series of sleepovers—most of which are unplanned.

Featuring pre-teen Tim, Alive!Jason, and a whole lot of hurt/comfort.

    Gala-Bye by motleyfam

    Jason Todd hates galas.

Bruce Wayne loves his ridiculous son.

    Mess of Me by motleyfam

    Jack takes him trick-or-treating.

Tim is dressed in a simple black bodysuit with a white skeleton printed on top. He’d wanted to go as a stormtrooper—it’s all he’s been talking about at school for weeks, ever since he first saw the films—but his parents didn’t get the chance to pick up a costume until late that afternoon, and the options at Halloween City at four p.m. on October 31st are a bit sparse.

(It was this or a gigantic carrot, and even at seven years old, Tim has some dignity to maintain.)

    ---

Poor Timmy isn't having the best of Halloweens.

Shoot from the Hip by motleyfam

Objectively, this time isn’t even that bad. The bullet really only grazed his side. The mark it left is long and gnarly-looking, and he’s sure it’s going to bruise like a bitch tomorrow, but the actual damage to his flesh is pretty superficial. A saline wash, a quick row of stitches, a sterile dressing, and a couple painkillers, and he should be good to go.

…Which is why Dick neglects to mention this extremely minor injury during his usual post-patrol check-in with Agent A.

    By Necessity by motleyfam

An alternative ending to chapter 4 of 5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home.

(AKA, the part where there’s an ice storm and a massive tree limb takes out the Drakes’ living room window.)

    Kansaws by motleyfam

    Tim blinks.

Batman has a buddy with a chainsaw??

(A short drabble expanding on Chapter 4 of 5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home)

Man of the House by motleyfam

Yet another alternative ending to chapter 4 of 5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home.

(AKA, the part where there’s an ice storm and a massive tree limb takes out the Drakes’ living room window.)

Is All Anger Sin? by motleyfam

Now, Jason likes Tim, don’t get him wrong, but that kid’s got the self-preservation instincts of a wet paper towel. And not even the premium paper towels Alfred buys at Costco—that cheap shit you get at the Dollar Tree. The kid’s basically allergic to asking for help, and it’s fucking sad, okay?

Case in point, the fact that he’s currently bleeding all over the damn floor and still insisting that they don’t bother Bruce.

    Well fuck that shit.

    ---

    Reverse Psychology by motleyfam

Jason leans back, crossing his arms over his chest. “Well, what if we don’t want you to clean up?”

    Tim just blinks at him.

(An alternative ending to one of the scenes in chapter 5 of 5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home.)

    First Watch by motleyfam

“I have a pretty bad headache, so I think I just want to go to bed.”

Like any good excuse, Tim’s claim is simple, succinct, and rooted in a half-truth; his head does hurt, though he wouldn’t really call it ‘bad’—it’s hurting about the normal amount for someone who’s spent the last eight hours as a tightly coiled ball of anxiety. It should have worked perfectly.

Unfortunately for Tim, he just forgot one small fact: that the Waynes are literally the most dramatic people on the planet.

Where Blame is Due by batmoniker & motleyfam

Jason rides in the ambulance with Tim.

He doesn’t think he’s allowed to, technically, since he isn’t family and both of them are minors, but he’s not about to take no for an answer. Luckily, or perhaps frighteningly, the paramedics are too busy to argue with him. They’re barking orders back and forth to each other, rattling off vitals, running IV and oxygen lines, applying cooling blankets. Tim’s temperature is over 105 degrees and his blood pressure is dangerously low. They’re worried about seizures.

They’re also worried about organ failure.

    –--

The immediate aftermath of Jason finding Tim in the final chapter of 5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home, told from three different points of view.

A Jumbo Miscalculation by justbeyondstars & motleyfam

Suddenly a new voice, gruffer, deeper, says, “What are you doing?” and Tim goes cold all over. That’s Bruce. That’s Bruce speaking a full sentence for the first time today and of course it’s when Tim is hurling his guts out in the bathroom and didn’t want him to know about it.

    Shit.

“Picking the lock,” Jason says, like it’s obvious. “Didn’t think you’d appreciate me breaking the door down. I can, if you want. I am absolutely fine with that option actually.”

    –--

Bruce is in a bad mood after a case doesn’t go entirely to plan, and Tim is determined not to do anything to make it worse.
(Unfortunately, his shrimp allergy didn’t get that memo.)

    DANton-ten-six by motleyfam

Ten weeks into Tim’s new foster placement with the Waynes, he wakes up feeling kind of lousy.

His stomach started hurting sometime after dinner the night before, which he initially chalked up to the heaviness of Alfred’s chicken fettuccine; that man does not skimp on the heavy cream. It’s why he only ever makes it when Dick—the family’s resident lactose intolerant dumbass, as Jason so lovingly puts it—is confirmed to be staying in Bludhaven for the evening.

(Not that it ever works. Dick’s been known to sniff out leftovers from the fridge days later like a bloodhound, consequences to his delicate digestive system be damned.)

    Anyway...

    ---

Or, in which Tim gets Sick™, but actually reaches out for help for once, and in return his new family comes in clutch.

It’s been three months since Bruce accepted Tim as Robin, and every night Bruce still patrols alone while Tim microwaves frozen lasagna and finishes his algebra II homework. But Tim is tired of waiting to be ready, and takes up the totally safe, totally sane hobby of midnight streetfighting.

The BatFam, as according to me and not DC

    Anthology containing:

Being Alone is So Cold (And You Are So Warm)

Tim wants one person on his team to know his name, just for now. Superboy may seem like an unlikely candidate but he trusts Kon. And honestly? More than trust, Tim just doesn't want to feel alone for once in his life.

    A Little Secret

Clark meets the new Robin. This Robin smiles with a glacier-like coldness and breathes secret names with an ease that makes Clark freeze.

    Blackberry Tea

An Alfred Pennyworth view of his almost-son Bruce and the child who decided to save him.

    A Weapon is a Girl

    She was nothing.
    She was a weapon.
    She is Cass.

Shadow Girls, Shadow Boys, They Haunt Every Corner

There is a girl lurking in the shadows of Jason's room. When he sleeps, the girl paralyzes him and reminds him of a bird's wings.

There is a boy creeping silently into Jason's spaces. When he is not there, the boy slips in and leaves confusion in his wake.

    Tim's School of Passable Normality

After Kon asks a random question about something fairly normal, Tim decides that he should introduce Kon and Bart to some of the most normal, teenager things he knows of. Is it a coping mechanism to deal with the major upheavals in his life? Um, well, maybe, but Kon and Bart deserve normal things! It's just that...Tim is really, really weird and his perception of normal is definitely messed up.

Heavy is the Head That Bears the Cowl

They're on opposite sides of the world, but Dick and Tim are both making bad decisions together. Funny how these things work, isn't it?

    Red Atheris

    Atheris Hispida:
A species of viper. Previously, the venom of said viper was not thought to be particularly dangerous. This misconception has been corrected in the recent years of study revealing that the venom of this ambush predator can cause severe hemorrhaging of internal organs.

    The Nest

Tim makes a Nest. Is it a bird's Nest or a snake's? Depends on who you are.

Do You Stay the Same or Change Your Ways?

Bruce returns to a home that isn't whole anymore. Does he stay the same, mission oriented and content with his empty home? Or does he change and become a man who might be a better father, a better human?

    Consultation Work

Jason expects the first work he does with Red Robin to be some kind of drugs bust or trafficking take down. It's actually consultation work for the Neon Knights' Project Rebirth.

    CODE: Caroline

When a need for an undercover agent surfaces, there's only one Bat for the job. Tim never realized how different his training was until CODE: Caroline put into action.

Doctor, Except for Everything, I Am Perfectly Fine

Alfred and Bruce decide they have to update the kids' medical information. If the others aren't a fan if this, then Tim is even worse. Guess who's missing his spleen?

Sebastian Ives and the Particularly Strange Friend Group

Ives is back in town and calls up his old friends to hang out. Only, Tim wants them all to meet his best friends. Ives should really plan for Tim more often.

    Jason and the Spooks

Jason, regrettably, has to team up with Red Robin and Black Bat. Actually, maybe this isn't the worst thing possible. Vegan dark chocolate peanut butter cups are involved.

Aliit Ori'shya Tal'din (Family is More Than Blood)

    AKA
“Hey assholes, armor care in the living room!” Steph yelled into the intercom.

    Ke'hukaati Ashi'kama (Watch Each Other's Backs)

"Ship gone,” Cass told him quietly. “Jetii osik.”
    “Seriously?” Jason groaned.
    AKA
On their quest to find a Jedi to teach Grogu, Clan Mynock runs into some trouble. Din is really sick of this jetii osik, Bruce needs to find his children right now, and the kids just really want to explore the jungle.

NOTE: This fic is completely written! I'll post the next chapter tomorrow :)

    Cin Vhetin (A New Start)

“He can’t be mad,” Tim said. He was using his most reasonable, listen-to-me-I’m-using-logic voice, which was a sure sign he was about to do something stupid. “We’re Mandalorians! Learning how to use weapons is an important part of maintaining the Creed.”
“Self-defense,” Jason agreed. “What happens if we need to defend ourselves and all that’s available is Din’s laser sword? Are we supposed to just give up?”
    AKA
The kids get their hands on the darksaber. This has unforeseen consequences.

Tim meets Jason while at school. He saved him from bullies, thinking that was it, but it turns out that it was not. Jason wanted to be near him. He chose to be his friend. Soon, the title of "friendship" somehow changed to "brotherhood" along the way, and it seemed like it was there to stay.

    Anthology containing:

    My School’s Local Mafia Boss

I think the title really explains it all? But anyway:

Jason knew that attending a rich ass school was going to be the toughest and most mind-grating thing ever. His beliefs were confirmed when he got cornered by bullies on his first day. The only thing he was surprised about was that it took them so long to find the school's new street rat. Just as he's about to be punched a fucking 10 year old (he's actually 12) steps in and... starts threatening the bullies? And they actually listen?? What the fuck???

And that isn't the only surprise that's waiting for him.

    Summary

    Anthology containing:

    Bury Your Sons

Slade Wilson doesn't have a conscience. If he ever had one, he got rid of it years ago. But watching a man half his age cry every night from his nightmares is starting to get to him, waking up feelings he long ago put aside.

    ---

A Canon Divergence AU: What if Slade looked into the Arkham Knight's history? What if, bothered by his own family issues, he decided to help the Arkham Knight in his own way, rather than helping him continue his revenge against Batman?

    We Don't Raise Heroes

Sequel to Bury Your Sons, set four years after the conclusion.

Slade Wilson is an unpredictable element in Bruce's life, but he can't deny that he's been a (strangely enough) good influence on Bruce's wards. It's not so bad having another adult around the house, but Slade's tendency to handle things on his own is something else.

So when Slade returns with news that he insists Bruce needs to know, Bruce isn't sure what to think.

    ---

Introducing Damian Wayne to the Arkhamverse, and exploring Jason's long term recovery as he returns to the family.

    Don't Call It Revenge

Sequel to We Don't Raise Heroes, set a year and a half after the conclusion.

Bruce likes what he has. With Jason having returned from the dead and Damian having joined their family, he's happy, even with his forced retirement from being Batman.

So when Bruce's entire life starts being torn apart at the seams, Bruce finds himself in a desperate attempt to save the family he's spent so long building.

    ---

A Thriller-Mystery intended to tie together the first three parts of MTBAF.

    Skipped a Few Steps

Set shortly after Don't Call it Revenge.

Bruce is starting to realize that maybe, just maybe, his relationship with Slade isn't as clearcut as he thought.

    ---

Parts one to three were definitely on the action/major drama/family dynamics side of things. This? This is fluff, romance, humor, and pining.

    Slipped Sideways

Slade and Bruce finds themselves on an Earth that isn't their own, surrounded by familiar faces with completely different life stories.

To say the least, they're not a fan of what they find.

    ---

The all but inevitable 'what if the More To Being a Father universe crossed over with comic canon'? First chapter notes contain a brief 'what you need to know' for anyone interested in hopping in.

In Summary: What if GoodDad!Bruce and GoodDad!Slade met their less than good comic counterparts?

    Next Step

With everyone back where they want to be, the family needs time to settle in and adjust to their new additions.

Joey and Thomas, on the other hand, have a whole new world to come to terms with.

    After It's Over

Jason's never had a civilian life. For him, it was always something: From living on the streets, to being Robin, to being the Arkham Knight, to being Batman.

But for the first time he's being forced to live a normal life. To be a civilian, with (almost) no secrets to keep from the world.

He isn't sure if he's ready.

    One Last Chance

Joseph Wilson chose to leave his home dimension in a desperate attempt to escape the twisted family dynamic he'd grown up with. It meant leaving his sister, his mother, and his father behind, but in the end he was that much happier for it.

But that doesn't mean it's the end. Even if he's found happiness, some issues simply can't go unaddressed.

    Let Yourself Fall Ill

If You Desire Healing, Let Yourself Fall Ill

Wilson didn't ask for help, but he's going to get it anyway.

    Where to Begin

For Will, the worst is over, but that doesn't mean he's done growing. Whether he wants to or not, he still needs to figure out how to repair all the relationships he's broken.

    Legacy's Sway

The Teen Titans have a long history in his old universe, and Will doesn't see any reason why it couldn't work in his new home.

    ---

A new take on an Arkhamverse Teen Titans in the MTBAF universe, featuring a whole lot of characters you've probably never heard of.

    The Melody Lingers

With the manor destroyed and lives lost, the family must adjust to the new status quo, the new additions, and the complete loss of their home as they do what they can to put the pieces back together.

    Play Your Cards

When Lex Luthor says he's going to ruin your life, he means it.

The family just hopes they're prepared.

    Fight the Good Fight

As Jason looks towards returning to being a hero, new and returning arrivals to the family make things far more complicated than he'd like.

    Unwanted Visitors

Slade's had enough visitors to last a lifetime, and having the worst person possible show up on his doorstep is not his idea of a good time.

    Start Fresh

Khalid Nassour has lost everything. His home dimension, beset by the anti-living, has been abandoned by those who remained. The new world he finds himself in should be perfect, but recovery doesn't come so easily.

    Darker Side of You

The barrier between worlds is gone, leaving Universe-A exposed for the first time. Beings that shouldn't exist begin to invade, and it becomes a desperate race against time to find a way to push them back.

    Ways We've Changed

    Summary

Just some cute and connected (but not needed to read them all) Batman shorts

    Anthology containing:

    The Wayne Deal

Bruce Wayne's parents made a deal, if you do something to make yourself noticed at a Gotham Gala- enough to impress the papers, then they will leave right away.
Bruce passes this deal along to the children in his custody. Each one adds their own flair to it.

    A Shared Intrest

When Selina Kyle helps save Batman from ninjas attacking the manor, she did not think she was signing up to harbor the other woman in the Batman's life, Talia al Ghul. The assassin baby mama. But through the night, Selina discovers a thing or two about the notorious woman, she has a heart- no matter how small.

    Father Figure

Batgirl shouldn't let Stephanie Brown issues interfere with her night life. Arthur Brown should not interfere with her night life. When Robin gets hurt because she's distracted, Batman sits her down for a talk.

    Dosed

Jason came back from a mission after hearing about the Rogue's weapons and drugs being taken for the black market use. But when he returns to save Gotham, his past not only came to hurt him but his youngest brother. Jason does his best to bring out his inner Dick Grayson for the time being. It's not the worst thing, to be a big brother.

    Duke Thomas Hates Bullies

Everyone loves that Duke Thomas isn't like all those other crazy Waynes. Everyone loves that the Signal isn't trying to get himself killed. Duke may not see Bruce as his dad, but he is definitely part of the bat family. and nobody is going to bully his family. Or, Duke Thomas Kicks Ass.

    Bat Wallet

Hal Jordan is stuck in a car with Bruce Wayne. Hal is intrigued by what a billionaire’s wallet must look like. He does not expect to find pictures of ALL Batman’s kids. It’s kinda cute to know the big bad bat is just a big softie.

    A Lesson In Make-Up

Cassandra Cain never had a mother to teach her how to apply eyeliner or what foundation to use. But being apart of the Wayne family puts her on the spotlight as the only girl. Selina, is just her Dad's lover, but the woman knows how to do make up.

Bets: The Art of Being Cute and Kale Smoothies

Tim and Damian make a bet before the family has to leave for the Kane family reunion, where Bruce dreads attending. At first, the bet was funny to watch but the family quickly becomes annoyed with the twos out of character tendencies. Or, Tim Drake becomes a neurotic health freak with self preservation and Damian perfects the art of puppy dog eyes and movies with talking animals.

    Blankets and Sons

Out of all Bruce’s children, Jason was the easiest to deal with when he was sick. Dick whined and snapped even at Alfred. Tim has no sense of self preservation, so Bruce usually has to wait till Tim was in need or real attention. Cassandra was reluctant to take any medication if it was grape flavored. And Damian would snarl at any potential threat. But Jason was easy, Jason just wanted his dad and lots of blankets

    Unlocked Doors and Opened Windows

Now that Selina is staying on the manor's grounds, she just doesn't understand why her fiancé won't close or shut the window and door. She's already told him why she hates it so much- the street smart mentality to bar your windows and triple lock the doors from any unwanted visitors. But the emotionally constipated jerk just won't tell her. While the cat house is being remodeled and she sleeps in the room, she soon figures out why.

    Martha Kane, The Batman

In another world, five years ago, a young Bruce Wayne was shot and killed in that alley. In that world, a woman became a dark knight with bloodthirsty vengeance. Martha Kane lost it all. She was Batman.
In another world, many many years ago, Bruce Wayne lost his parents and became the dark knight Gotham needed. The one that refused to kill. The one that many would aspire to be and fear to meet.
Two Batman meet each other, and all they can think about it the children

    The Gray Son's Family

The Court of Owls has made their own undoing when creating a clone to serve as the Gray Son using Richard Grayson's warped memories. Owls are territorial of what they regard as theirs. Using an army full of mindless Talons, the Gray Son begins making claims on what he believes to belong to him; Robin and Oracle.

    Damian Wayne and A Baby?

Bruce had decided Damian was going to be grounded for the weekend after a small mishap involving the dinosaur. Unfortunately, everyone Damian would refer to be with was already busy leaving him with Fatgirl. To make matters worse, the purple clad vigilante was watching yet another child. A significantly younger and feeble-minded child as far as Damian thinks. Yet, it won't leave him alone.
He much rather prefers pets over babies.

The Man With A Gun, The Boy Without The Will, The Father With Fear

Tim thought this was just another attempt at using a Wayne kid for money, but this man has no use for money.

Puppy Dog Eyes Work Better Than Impalement

In which Damian uses 'puppy dog' eyes as a tactic to get what he wants and to get out of trouble. His family is not amused in the least.

    The Daughter Without Family

Batman of Earth-2 sent his adult daughter to a whole other world where the girl is not even a concept. Still, Helena does her best to navigate a difficult world where a father and mother who aren't hers attempt to distance themselves and whole bandwagon of siblings that don't even exist in her world. Not to mention another Huntress named Helena Bertinelli.

    Valentine's Day Quiz

Selina just wanted to enjoy her Valentine's Day, not play some sick newly weds game.

    You're So Grounded

    Daydreams

Talia Wayne has the perfect life.
    The perfect husband.
    The perfectly healthy child.
    The family she adores.

It's a shame she had to ruin it.

    Ivy’s Pot Brownies

Alfred, Duke, Damian and Tim accidentally eat some special brownies Ivy made for Selina. Now they all have to deal with some stoned baby bats and one high as a kite butler. Selina has to give Bruce the worst FaceTime call ever.

    A Brother's Duty, A Mother's Lose, A Boy's Life

    Hush Little Baby

The three youngest are hit by a strong dose of fear toxin. The oldest brothers have to step in and cure them fast. If only Tim would stop attacking Jay and Damian stop being a human kola.

    Duke meets Bat-Cow

Duke has been living with the Waynes for nearly four day and there are plenty of things he discovers through his time there. Damian decides it is time to introduce Duke to Bat-Cow. He hopes the older boy will not feel the same ill will that his maternal side felt towards the animals.

    Sing Me A Song

Damian Wayne temporally has been benched. Jason accidentally drew the short straw on watching the demon. The mini bat approaches Jason about hearing of Jason’s singing through the other Bat Kids But never hearing it for himself. He absolutely demands that Jason sing for him, if just to feel included.

    Unexplainable

At least Collin didn't think so.

Inspired by the Red Hood Fan Series on YouTube. Episode Two: Damian Wayne.

(During the time in which Damian is unconscious and Jason tends to him)

Ever since the Bat left, the family had been cut off left and right... Crime had been taking advantage of this. What happens when Jason has to take care of the kid just until he is awake again.

    Burned

    Purple Streaks and Malice Eyes

Fighting an evil version of yourself isn’t all what is cracked up to be. All Steph wants is some waffles

    Three Sirens and A Baby

While fighting a dealing villains, the sirens team up with Red Hood. Selina, in attempts to prove to Bruce that she could keep up with the Bat life, promises to look after the Bat. Unfortunately the very much grown vigilante is now a five year old stuck with the sirens. Can Selina fix this without Bruce finding out or is Harley Quinn going to adopt the little Hood?

Earth 38 Damian 'Good, Tall, Cute' Wayne

Damian hates the multiverse. He’s met plenty of versions of himself. The one that practiced magic, the really evil one, the girl one, the one that took over Ra’s al Ghul… But then he never had to deal with a helpless one. One that grew up normal and safe. One that was never an assassin. One that isn’t Robin.

    One that needed protection.

“Don’t go,” Alternate Damian wrapped his arms around Dick, “The bad people are coming and-”

The bad people were the league of another universe. The Damian Wayne of that universe was a healthy, raised by Alfred and Bruce, never died, untrained ten year old. A world where Damian’s father refused to let his children out there until they were eighteen.

“You agreed to let this imbecile stay with us?” Damian asked his father who geared up.

“I’ve been to that universe. It is one of my more favorable ones, I agreed to help that Bruce. The league there is not familiar with interdimensional traveling,” Bruce explained. Damian frowned at the thought, oh well it’s only for a few hours.

    So Side Kicks Aren't Cool

Remember when Billy didn't think any sidekick was cool, yeah, meet Damian Wayne. He's sorta kinda Robin with some assassin background.

All great future friendships start with almost ripping the other's head off.

Oh and Batman is Bruce Wayne.

Billy does not want to be adopted into this shit hole.

    Silver Lining Passed

When Bruce begins to sign his signiture off on the Wedding invitations for Gotham newest and hottest couple, he runs across some nostalgia in the form of Silver St. Cloud.

Stephanie doesn’t know a whole lot about witch culture but she doesn’t think you’re supposed to kidnap the bride... or the bride’s boyfriend

    Bingo: Proposal

    Feet On The Ground Please

    Robin meant to get kidnapped.

He did not mean to be shoved in some oversized bird cage with a wannabe Harley Quinn swinging a mallet at it.

    Crimson

... Dick Grayson had been shot...

(Bat Family Bing: Blood Stained Clothing)

    Narrows-napped

It's Duke's first time being taken hostage as a civilian, though Damian is there to remain calm and collected, it becomes clear that this civilian kidnapping is about to take a turn for the worse. He pretty sure the hostages aren't supposed to be the hero here.

    Fun Size

    Damian Wayne is little

Bruce Wayne’s third son has no self preservation when it comes to protecting Batman.

    Family Drama

    National Wayne’s Vacation

    Prompt: Vacation

Bruce agreed to Clarke’s offer of a weekend retreat hoping his two Robins will work thinks out

    Ragdoll

Upon Damian’s arrival to the manor and within his run as Robin, he can agree that he was slightly cold and only engaged in touch if it were to battles. Since then he has made his own progress and adjusted to being the so called ‘Baby’ of the family as the media has pinned it. But the greatest adjustment he has had to make has been how his family does not find him to be a skilled warrior but some kind of pliable child to hold or throw or even worse… cuddle.

Damian did not understand the human instinct that if a family member that was younger was around then you should pull them into your lap. It made no sense whatsoever yet it occurred all the time and Damian seems to be helpless to stop it. He doesn’t even realize it occurs until it is too late. That is how serious this issue has become.

.... Or people keep pulling Damian into their laps and he's getting annoyed

A Brother In Need, A Brother Without, A City Falls

    “Drake,” Damian’s voice sounded small.

“Does it hurt?” Tim asked, making out Damian’s figure a little better with the tad bit of light coming through from the morning. That meant sun was rising.

“Worse,” Damian cracked a tad, “I can’t feel it anymore.”

Tim swallowed hard trying to remember what that could mean.A lot of it is bad and the possibilities of it being good aren’t well known enough to Tim to truly voice. Besides, doesn’t Damian have the knowledge of a medical student- he already knows what it could mean and that’s why he sounds so blatantly fearful. Nothing Tim can say will take that fear or risk away. Tim grabbed the small hand.
