Obi-Wan was expecting a lot of different things when he confronted his fallen padawan on the Death Star. He was not naive enough to expect to survive the battle. No, he was prepared to enter into a peaceful rest beyond. So when Obi-Wan woke in the Healing Halls of a home long destroyed, he was rightfully confused. The Force was not done with him yet, it seemed. The Force had granted Obi-Wan the chance to change the horrific future that awaited them all, and Obi-Wan was never one to disobey the Force’s will. Obi-Wan would change the future, even if it meant he needed to leave the Jedi Order to do it. After all, Obi-Wan was on a sacred mission!
Now, if only these Mandalorians would leave him alone so he could continue his journey, that’d be great! Obi-Wan may look like a child, but he certainly wasn’t one! (The strange childish feelings and urges notwithstanding)
Meanwhile, Jaster Mereel was willing to fight everyone to keep this small Jedi ad safe. As far as the Mandalorians were concerned, the Jedi had lost their claim to the youngling the second he ran away. Even if the youngling seemed determined to go on some strange mission, Jaster would make sure that the ad stayed at home where he belonged.

Luckily, or perhaps frighteningly, the paramedics are too busy to argue with him. They’re barking orders back and forth to each other, rattling off vitals, running IV and oxygen lines, applying cooling blankets. Tim’s temperature is over 105 degrees and his blood pressure is dangerously low. They’re worried about seizures.
They’re also worried about organ failure.

In the aftermath of a war that took years to ignite and ended in a bloody battle with deep losses on both sides, the consequences stretched far beyond the last battle. James Potter is in his fifth year at Hogwarts when he's kidnapped by a time travelling Sirius who just fell out of the veil. And then his adorable son arrives. Also Voldemort is still a thing.
James is an optimist though so…things could probably be worse?
Odd Cravings
When Harry asks to go back in time, Death stipulates that he has no influence over bringing life – Harry has to come into the world the way everyone does.
“Ow,” James wheezes, hand coming up to his stomach. “Did someone just sucker punch me in the kidney? What was that?”

When Voldemort applies for the DADA position, Hogwarts has already faced five years of the Marauders and has seen eight teachers leave because of them.
Dumbledore hires Voldemort on the spot.
Severus scoffs. "That is the stupidest-"
Sirius falls into the veil and James is the one to shove him back out. The Marauders then steal away Harry, half-heartedly recruit an irritated Snape and attempt to defeat Voldemort with absolutely no plan at hand but that’s how they usually roll so it should be fine.

Sirens eat Merfolk - except Harry is a super cute Mer baby and his dad isn't so bad either and really, Remus, I can explain how this happened.
Remus floats in place with his arms crossed, staring Sirius down as the other Siren sheepishly lowers an unconscious James into their nest.
I'm sippin' tea in yo hood
Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald are newly graduated and taking a quick tour of Hogwarts together during the summer when they stumble into a head prefect Tom Riddle. The sixth-year Marauders run past, desperately chasing after an escaped Moony who thinks this is a game and wants to play.
Post-War Harry Potter watches all of this happen in swiftly mounting horror.

5. Sirius and James are overconfident and blinded by it. They think they're unstoppable, invincible, so they get reckless. Occasionally, only occasionally, Remus needs to remind them that there are dangerous things in the dark.

Baby Harry is to be sent back in time to grow stronger without the threat of Voldemort’s rule. James of course goes with him, and inevitably Sirius and Remus follow.

"Huh." Theo stares at Harry with those grey eyes that look silver in the cauldron smoke between them. "But you're the heir to this ... House of Prince, so he's probably -""Yes. Probably." Harry looks at Theo sharply. "You don't know who he is, do you?"
"No." Theo looks back just as sharply. "If I did, I would tell you. You know I would."

Something loosens inside Harry's chest. Something that has been tightening ever since Cedric died. He may not have his friends, or Sirius, or even know who he fucking is anymore, but he has this. At least he has Theo.

The Heir to the House of Prince Part 2 - The rise of the Black Prince
Harry dreams.
Beyond the veil, he realises that there is no taste to the air. He stands with the Black Prince and watches the ravens fly in slow circles above a triangle made of shadows.
"I'm dreaming," Harry says.
"You may be," the Black Prince smiles at him.
"Are you?" Harry asks. "Dreaming?"
"It's possible," the Black Prince watches the ravens with soft familiarity. "This is the place where we meet."
Then Sirius' arms are around him. Warm, strong, loving, hugging him from behind with that smell of cigarettes and whisky. "You're a lynchpin in the universe, Harry."
Harry turns with a smile to hug his godfather but Sirius is not there. Bellatrix is leaning over him and Harry is encased in stone, unable to breathe, unable to think through the pain in his hand.
"I expected more."
Harry screams and wakes, but not for long.
