    Summary

An AU where Obi-Wan receives a varactyl hatchling named Boga to act as his service animal for post-traumatic stress caused by the Melida/Daan war. Boga remains at Obi-Wan's side throughout his lifetime.

    Anthology containing:

grief is its own beast by CallToMuster

The creature comes to a screeching halt right in front of them – right in front of Obi-Wan, whose face seems to crumple a bit.

“Boga,” he chokes out, and then his hands are buried in its crests and his face is tucked into the side of its neck. The creature trills again, a lower-pitched cry of mourning, and cuddles closer to the man who is clutching it like it is his lifeline.

[Or: in the wake of Qui-Gon's death on Naboo, Obi-Wan's service animal Boga provides some much-needed comfort.]

    Angel of Music by calika

He finds her curled up in Qui-Gon’s favourite blanket on the couch, head stretched to the sky and swaying as she happily creates the most joyful sonic torture to ever exist.

    -
Boga sings her heart out at every opportunity.

    Inseparable by calika

Obi-Wan is torn from Boga’s side, his grip on her feathers failing as his captors drag him away and he screams, feeling like it’s his heart they’ve torn from him instead.
    -
Obi-Wan and Boga are captured on the warfront

love like a roar by catboydogma

“I don’t—I, uh. I don’t know what a varactyl is, Master,” Obi-Wan said, cradling the egg gingerly.
“Find out soon, you will!” Yoda cackled, rapping the end of his gimer stick against Qui-Gon’s kitchen tile.
If it were any other master, Qui-Gon might have protested giving the egg of a live creature to his very young, very tired padawan.
But it was Yoda, and Yoda did what he liked. Qui-Gon supposed there had to be some advantages to being shin-high and over 500 years.

Not everything feels like something else by Artherra

Qui-Gon voices the: “Oh!” for him.
The lizard that stands at her feet; roughly tall enough for its head to be level with Obi-Wan’s chest; turns its head to them as soon as they enter and fixes its stare straight at him, those yellow, burning, intelligent eyes cutting through his soul. The crown of purple-blue-jade feathers on the back of its head lifts as it considers him like an equal, like a challenger, and he straightens without thinking. A sort of harness wraps around its body along with a vest; it says on the side, SERVICE ANIMAL IN TRAINING, and DO NOT DISTRACT, black font on bright orange.
“Obi-Wan,” the lady tries to get his attention but he’s too busy having a staring contest with the animal that reminds him so closely, so terribly of some half-forgotten idea of home.
“I want you to meet Boga.”

One by one, we each stay alive.

war is a looming specter by CallToMuster

“Hey,” Anakin said softly, kneeling down. “Are you alright, Master?”

    Obi-Wan raised his head and revealed his pale, blotchy face and red-rimmed eyes. “I – I can’t – I can’t do it again, I can’t–”

At his side, Boga let out a soft trill and raised her head to swipe her tongue down the side of Obi-Wan’s face.

[Or: in the shadow of the first battle of Geonosis, Anakin learns the Jedi are going to war. His first thought is of Obi-Wan.]

i'll help you carry on by hellowkatey

"I've done lots of research, Master. Varactyls are very smart and loyal. Plus, I've always been good at connecting with animals through the Force."

"Indeed you have," the Jedi Master says with a tinge of defeat. "Though I worry about taking on the responsibility of training Boga on top of your padawan studies. You already have much to catch up on."

[or, 5 glimpses into Obi-Wan training Boga to be his service animal, and 1 time that training pays off]

    every possible way by catboydogma

“Oh, hello there,” Obi-Wan said, turning and raising an arm. Boga had her little paws hooked into his tunics, beak open wide and tail lashing behind her. “What are you doing here, darling?”
Boga opened her beak even wider, somehow, and screeched at him. He’d never heard her so loud or so shrill. The rush of the fountains and streams in the Room filled the air between them.

OR: 5 times Boga screamed to be silly + 1 time Boga screamed to be serious

well and far behind by catboydogma

It will be easy, the Senate had said. Just yourself and perhaps a few others, they’d said. Quick in and out, they had told him.
Well, this was most definitely not a “quick in and out” sort of mission.

healing takes its own path by CallToMuster

Obi-Wan looked back down at Boga. He stretched out his hand a bit, and this time Boga was the one who leaned forward into his touch. He began scratching dutifully, clearly understanding the implicit instruction, and immediately the low rumbling began again.

A slow, small smile crept across his face.

“G-good girl, Boga,” Obi-Wan whispered, so softly that it could barely be heard.

[Or: three scenes in the early life of Obi-Wan and Boga's partnership.]

Feathers, facades, and other fashions of the coruscant elite by calika

Forwarded from Galactic Republic Senate Administration Office:
High General Obi-Wan Kenobi, you are invited to attend the 3rd Peace Gala to benefit the republic planets most impacted by the war.

Reply to Galactic Republic Senate Administration Office:
I am honoured to accept the invitation on the condition my service animal may accompany me.
May the force be with you.

easy now / now alone by catboydogma

There was nothing else in the world that felt like Boga. Her scales were smooth but not slick, pebbled but not raised. Her beak was always warm, somehow, despite the fact that it was bone and keratin. Her tongue laved over the inside of his wrist and then she nudged forward, thumping the side of her head against his chest. His arm automatically went around her neck and she set a leg delicately over his lap. The warm weight of it felt real like nothing else.

Head in the Sand by RovingRanger

Then the sweet sound of a gunship directly overhead filtered through the dust. Whoops and fresh cheers from the troops made Obi-wan’s knees weak again.

    “Reinforcements! The reinforcements have arrived!”

There were already clones running past them. Obi-wan turned off his lightsaber. The plasma melted away, and so did Obi-wan’s strength. He and Boga sank to the ground together.

I'll Love You Forever (Let Me Be Your Shelter) by RovingRanger

The training simulations on Kamino had never included a 60-foot feathered lizard. Cody had to admit the veractyl was endearing, though, in her own way. The creature—Boga—did a considerable job of being in the background, despite her large size. Cody knew how much she helped his General, so he couldn’t help but be grateful to her. Normally, she was vigilant, perceptive, and calm.

She certainly wasn’t calm at the moment. It was the first time that Cody found himself wishing the veractyl were a little less perceptive.

General Kenobi hadn’t come back from the latest mission.

our teeth to break by catboydogma

Obi-Wan woke to a raging headache, searing pain in his shoulders, and a dull throbbing at the back of his skull. He was strung up by his wrists, Force-suppressing cuffs digging into the soft insides of his arms, feet barely brushing the cold durasteel floor under him. He noticed, with a sinking feeling, a circular drain set in the middle of the floor just under his toes.

a love that won't sit still by catboydogma

Obi-Wan sang to Boga when he fed her. Qui-Gon had no idea why or when this had started. It just was. Obi-Wan crooned nonsensical melodies to Boga when he brushed through her crest and checked her toe pads, he sang snatches of Qui-Gon’s rowdiest drinking songs when he fed her, and when she curled up on his chest to sleep he hummed a sleepy three-note song of satisfaction before dropping off to sleep.

instead i took care of you by CallToMuster

When Obi-Wan opened his eyes again, he was on the ground and he couldn’t remember how he got there.

[Or: many decades after the successful ending of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan is still struggling, in ways both old and new.]

numbness spreading across your chest like frost by CallToMuster

It was stupid, Obi-Wan knew it was stupid, but he hadn’t been able to help clinging to the thought during the war that once it was over, everything would be better.

But now the war was over, and Obi-Wan felt worse than he had in a long, long time.

    dogfish by catboydogma

This was a beautiful planet. The name escaped him at the moment, but it had three moons and a single young blue sun. The atmosphere was a stunning deep cobalt in the evenings as the sun set and the first moon rose, but in the day—as it was now—the sky was a delicate shade of lavender. It was almost entirely rock and natural springs, with volatile volcanoes at each pole. Not two yards from Obi-Wan, a waterfall of glass-green water fountained down a rocky cliff to the riverbed. The rock here was every shade imaginable, though it tended to settle in deep violets and indigos.
All it meant now was that Obi-Wan was covered in violet rock dust and his blood turned the rock beneath him almost black.

Boga and the Human Called Anakin by stolen_pen_name23

Boga is distrustful of the human called Anakin, but due to his relationship with her Master, she is forced to get along with him. Now that her Master is missing and presumed dead, Boga has to trust Anakin and work with him if there’s any hope of saving Obi-Wan.

    Dark Seas by stolen_pen_name23

A sick Obi-Wan has trouble distinguishing the past (and possibly the future) from the present. Boga and Anakin are there to help him find his way back.

    Breaking and Entering by stolen_pen_name23

When Boga is injured in battle, Obi-Wan panics over the state of his loyal service animal. With some calming words from Anakin and a little light breaking and entering, he might be able to get back to her.

when everything else is trying to hurt you by CallToMuster

One moment Obi-Wan was curled in the space between the couch and wall in his quarters, holding desperately onto the soft feathers of Boga’s crest, and the next he was sitting in the middle of an open dirt field as men shouted and blasters fired overhead.

[or: in the months post-Melida/Daan, Obi-Wan is transported to the middle of the Clone Wars.]

take a step back and find solid ground by CallToMuster

One moment Obi-Wan was running through a battle, lightsaber brandished in front of him like a shield as his feet pounded the earth in rhythm with the thousands of other GAR soldiers on-planet, and then he was crammed into a tight, tiny, quiet space on a different planet entirely.

[or: as his younger self takes his place, Obi-Wan is transported from the Clone Wars to the Temple in the months post-Melida/Daan.]

through the smoke; you arrive by lux_arcana

An expedition to the Coruscant Experimental Physics Labs goes horribly, horribly wrong, and only Boga can save the day.

(you know the end of Bolt? like the disney movie? where bolt saves penny from a burning building? yeah this is that.)

watcher; avert your gaze by lux_arcana

He didn’t remember a lot of things. He didn’t remember how he got here, or where he was, or what he was doing before this. All there is was this, the silent and dark room, Boga between him and the door. There was nothing else but screaming in his mind.

Well - that was a lie. There was something else, but Obi-Wan knew it wasn’t real, and he wasn’t supposed to focus on things that weren’t real. But the room was so dark and so quiet that it was the only thing he could focus on, and so while Boga purred beneath him, trying desperately to keep him calm, his eyes remained locked on the far corner of the room.

In that corner - existing heedless of the fact that there was no light to see by - was a monster. Obi-Wan had no other word for it. It was a mass of cloaks and black and red and hatred, and it wanted to kill him. If he moved or made a noise, it would kill him. It was there, and Obi-Wan was trapped, and he didn’t know where he was.

The monster wasn’t real. It didn’t feel real, not really. But Obi-Wan also knew that if he moved he would die, and he did not want to die like this.

    muffled heart by CallToMuster

The anxiety started early. Perhaps that was why he reacted so strongly when a noise suddenly rang out across the atrium of the Senate lobby. It wasn’t the thunder of an explosion, or the whine of a blastershot, or the crack of a slugthrower firing. But it was close enough, and like a switch had been flipped, Obi-Wan felt a great weight descend over him, muffling everything.

Just a series for all my LU fics!

    Anthology containing:

Five Times Wild Did Something Wild (and One Time it Didn't Work Out)

“Wild, no.” Twilight whispered, gripping his shoulder, but Wild merely smiled.
“You don’t trust me.” he stated, smile unwavering. Twilight bit his lip, glancing between Wild and the enemy camp. There were half a dozen armed and dangerous Bokolins just waiting for them to come within range, but Wild’s grin made it seem as if the idea of being riddled with arrows excited him.
“I don’t know what you’re planning, but it can’t be good.” Twilight said instead, earning him a huff of laughter.
“You’re no fun, Twi.” Wild simply said, only confusing the other more.
“That is a camp full of bloodthirsty Bokoblins, Wild! There is nothing ‘fun’ about it!”

    ---

Thank you for 1000 kudos!! <3

    Every Man Dies Alone

Wild was a skilled fighter, brave and selfless. Sure, he was reckless and at times unreasonable, but everyone had their issues. The group wasn’t concerned about Wild as much anymore, even though the younger still exhibited few self preservation skills. He would hide his injuries, refuse potions, and sneak off into the forest at night and be fine in the morning. No one else noticed, but Twilight worried.

    The Sun Will Come Out

Everyone kept telling him not to worry so much, that Wild was capable, that he’d be back soon. All Twilight could think of was the scars painting his cub’s body from his last adventure, of the frequent nightmares, lost memories, self doubt. They’d made progress, but Wild was still only a kid. He wasn’t even nineteen yet, and already had faced more than Twilight could comprehend. If Wild’s first adventure broke him, Twilight worried this one might shatter him.
    ---
Wild leaves the group for another adventure, and returns very different.

    Tomorrow

A bright green light flashed, and Wild turned to see a body of mummified skin and bones resting atop a platform, dark eyes fixed on Zelda and arm glowing bright with runes. Wild's heart leapt into his throat as the figure lurched forward, arm reaching for Zelda's frozen form.

Wild didn't think--he stepped in front of Zelda and raised his right arm in defense.

    Wet and Wild

“Do you not want to talk about it?” Twilight asked slowly.
“You’ll all find out soon enough anyway, I might as well tell you.” Wild sighed, eyes focused on his boots. “I’m sorta, kinda, maybe dating the prince.” Wild mumbled quietly, shoulders tensing as he finally admitted it.

    Legend Has Two Hands

Marin bit her lip to hide a smile and Ravio looked as if he were about to laugh. Legend somehow became even redder, raising his hands to hide his face. As if on cue, Ravio swung his legs over Legend’s lap while Marin leaned in closer, and both placed a kiss on each of Legend’s cheeks.

    Scars

“You okay?” Wild asked, and Warriors snapped back to the present with an apologetic smile.
“Yeah, I’m…” Warriors hesitated, and Wild tilted his head before sitting down in the sand beside him. Warriors let out a sigh, lowering his head and watching Wild from his peripheral. “How do you do it?”
“Do what?” Wild asked, and Warriors felt himself beginning to blush as he realized what he was about to ask.
“How are you so confident? Your scars…” Warriors trailed off with a huff, feeling like a jerk. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be asking such a personal question.”
Wild was quiet for a moment, staring out at the distant forms splashing in the water. “I wasn’t always comfortable. With my scars, I mean.”

    Throwing Shade

Four had a feeling the minute he returned to his Hyrule things would get real weird, real fast, and there wouldn’t be much he could do about it. He held onto hope that maybe, just maybe, his boyfriend wouldn’t be the dramatic idiot he was and wouldn’t emerge from the shadows like some kind of evil villain in front of a group of heavily armed and trigger happy heroes. He hoped that Shadow would have a scrap of common sense not to jump him the minute he came back. He prayed his secrets wouldn’t be revealed against his will, but he had a feeling all his prayers would be for nothing.

You Can't Buy Love but You Can Rent It

No more taking pity on Mr. Hero, even if he was handsome and selfless and his best customer. No more, or Link might realize he had a crush and never come back, or worse, spread a rumor about Ravio’s willingness to cut a deal if he liked someone. It would be horrible for business, so he swore to himself up and down that night, laying in bed as Link’s kiss still tickled his cheek, that he would never bargain again.

    Warriors Shouldn't Have Done That

Legend hid his face in his hands, cursing Warriors under his breath, while Hyrule seemed to shrink in on himself with a bright blush and a horrified look on his face. Wind slumped over the table, his ears bright red.
    ---
Or, Warriors' flirtatious attitude leads to Wind and Hyrule discovering some things about themselves and Legend is tired.

    I Am He..?

“Legend, can I ask you something?” Hyrule whispered to the older hero, their eyes briefly meeting as he got his attention. “Ah, but, you have to promise you won’t tease me about it…”

“Sure thing, ‘Rule, what’s on your mind?” Legend raised his brows, and Hyrule looked around to make sure no one was eavesdropping before he continued.

    “I’ve just been wondering, what’s a gender?”
    ---
Hyrule doesn't know what gender is. Unfortunately for him, the other heroes aren't much help.

    Hero Through the Ages

“Do you know how old you are right now?” Twilight sighed, letting himself fully sit as the last Moblin fell behind them.
“I’d say about seven… maybe eight years old? Physically, that is.” Wild eventually replied, clenching his small hands into fists.
Twilight's eyes widened in surprise as he looked the kid over again. Wild was small, sure, but eight years old? He’d been fighting with perfect form just a few minutes ago, and the way he was responding to things, the way his hair was cropped short…
“Wild, were you training as a knight at eight years old?” Twilight couldn’t help himself, the fear of knowing the answer not enough to stop his curiosity. Wild jumped slightly at the question, but instead of becoming sheepish, instead of appearing at all upset, he simply cocked his head in question.
    “Is that not normal?”
    ---
Wild gets hit with a spell and turns into a child, but he's not as wild as the heroes expected.

    The Point of No Return

This was underhanded, cruel, unspeakably evil. It was very much something Dark Link would pull. And Four hated that it worked, he hated that he couldn’t even bluff indifference. Now that Shadow was here in his arms Four would do anything to keep him there.
Dark’s grimace returned in full, knowing force.
“I’m listening.” Four sighed, and Shadow whispered a stream of refusal in his ear that he tried his best to ignore.

Experimental Equations, Or The One Where Wild Uses Glitches

“It’s called a wall clip. No idea how it works, but if I shield surf at just the right moment while jumping towards a wall I can pass through it.” Wild explained, before a haunted look replaced the grin. “Or get stuck inside. That’s not very pleasant.”
    Twilight didn’t want to know.
    ---
The group ends up in Wild's Hyrule and Flora shows up with some "experiments" she wants to perform. Cue Wild using glitches and Twilight losing his mind.

    To Fulfill His Fate

    The hero was dead.
    He knew that.
Stupid boy, stop playing hero. You’re just going to get yourself killed.
Link had heard those words countless times across Hyrule. Ever since he’d woken up in that strange stone tomb, voices in his head foreign and begging, ghosts giving him directives, memories long gone poking at the edge of his mind. The hero was dead. He died a hundred years ago.
    He failed.
    ---
Wild travels across Hyrule, an unknown and unnamed rogue dispatching monsters in the night. He has no friends, no family, and everyone thinks he’s long dead.

    Four Feet of Pure Flirtation

Alright, so maybe Vio had a teeny, tiny, little preference for the brooding type. So what? It wasn’t a crime!
They had the best fashion sense anyway.
    And they were hot.
    But they were typically villains.
Vio tried not to dwell on these more conflicting thoughts.
    ---
Four had a problem. Vio liked to flirt. With villains, specifically. It was making his life a bit more difficult than it needed to be, to say the least.

    Dream With Me

Legend had been gone for months, but Hyrule stayed strong. His friend--his brother--would return. He had to be sure, for both of them, too afraid of thinking otherwise. In the logical part of his mind he knew Legend had more adventures ahead--not just one, not just two. So he would be fine, absolutely fine, and he’d come back and it would be like nothing had ever happened!
But the longer Legend was gone, the more he worried.
    ---
Legend joins the group after his third adventure but soon leaves to save a mysterious island. He returns a very different person.

    A Troublesome Habit

“I cannot believe I have to say this,” Time sucked in a breath, immensely tired. “But there will be no more poisoning yourself on this adventure. And that goes for all of you.”

    ---
The heroes have odd drinking habits. Legend drinks too much coffee, Wind has a flask, and when was the last time Hyrule drank water..?

    A Shower to Remember

Enter Time, Twilight, Wild, Legend, Hyrule, Warriors, Wind, Four, and Sky to Untitled Group.

    TIME
Good Morr’w To Thee, Boys, I Bid Thee Well,
F’r I Cometh To Thee With A Decree.

Time hast altered thine name to Father Time.

    FATHER TIME
Thou Hast Been Summoned To A Shower, Doth
Not Be Absent When The Hour Cometh.
Expect A Letter Tom’rrow From Me.
    ---
The boys are invited to Time and Malon's baby shower. They have one week to plan the ultimate prank (or foil it).
Shakespearean-style Chatfic Edition. Yes, you read that right.

    Lessons in Love

“What do you mean by ‘show me the ropes’?” Legend asked, quick, defensive enough to pass as insulted. Ravio snorted, tasting the hot chocolate, and Legend’s eyes were drawn to his lips once more as if under a spell.

“I mean no offense, Link,” Ravio laughed, seeming not to catch the blush on Legend’s face as Ravio used his name. “I just figured you might want some pointers. Flirting, hand holding, relationship advice, y’know? You don’t have to accept the offer by any means!”

    Flirting? Hand holding? Legend gulped.

He was already an idiot. Maybe he could play dumb for a little while longer…

    ---
Legend accepts lessons in relationship advice from Ravio as he tries to work up the nerve to confess. Unfortunately they're both idiots.

    Beneath the Surface

What most people didn’t realize, just as they had no clue that Link was four or could shrink down to the size of a Minish, is that pulling the Four Sword did more than just split them. Not just four parts, four pieces of one whole with a color assigned to each. A color and an element, for the blade was not just enchanted--he’d repaired it himself using four Elements, crystals embodying Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth. The Four Sword did more than just split him, it imbued each part with one of the elements, abilities both powerful assets and dangerous weapons.
    ---
The Colors have elemental magic to use at their will, but it wasn't always easy to control their powers.

    Too Good to Be True

Something wasn’t right about Warriors’ Hyrule. Legend didn’t want to find out what it was.
    He feared he already knew.
    ---
Warriors' games aren't canon, and all dreams must come to an end.

    Smoke on the Wind

Wind would never tell the others his greatest secret.

It wasn’t something small, like the details of his first or second adventure. It wasn’t even big, like Time’s markings or Wild’s memory issues, things they kept under lock and key for no one to hear the truth of. No, Wind’s greatest secret was massive; a burden he’d been forced to bear on his own the entire time he’d had it.

Wind knew when someone was about to die.

    Forever and Always

Legend's eyes traveled over each word, slowly, savoring the time he had before it came to a close. He reached the end of the page too soon. Legend felt his heart skip a beat.

    Please write back soon.
    Love,
    Ravio.

    Love.
No, no, what? What did he mean love?
    ---
Legend and Ravio exchange letters until a sudden confession forces Legend to confront his own feelings for the merchant.

    Arrhythmic

They weren’t walking fast, just one foot in front of the other in a line, nothing out of the ordinary. Yet Hyrule’s heart was racing as if they were in the heat of battle. He took deep, steadying breaths as the morning wore on, the only thing he knew to try and calm himself. But he was calm, relatively speaking, and the longer his heart hammered away the dizzier and colder he felt.
    ---
Hyrule pushes himself too hard and his heart isn't having it.

    Liminal

The wind howled through the open entrance, drowning out the creaking of the roof. Four flicked his blade once more, and the swish of air nearly covered the shifting weight behind him. He paused, looking back, just in time to see the roof caving in as the support beam gave way.

    Second Wind

Four raised his sword swiftly, glinting in the sunlight in multicolored rays.
One body became four, four minds slotted into place--

Except when Green opened his eyes, something felt wrong.

    ---

Vaati is sealed within the Four Sword until the magic breaks, allowing him to burst free. He takes control of Green, and it's up to the rest of the Links to free him before someone gets hurt, or worse.

    Ties That Bind

“This,” Shadow pulled out the mirror, waving it around for emphasis a foot from Vio’s face. “Doesn’t work. I got about a hundred feet from those Goddess-forsaken ruins when I started feeling like shit, but when I tried to go back in the mirror--” Shadow waved his hands more, sharp teeth bared. “Nothing! I’m stuck here!”
“That shouldn’t be the case--” Vio began, the pain in his skull lessening enough to let him think. And as soon as he did, the pieces snapped into place, creating a grim picture of his error clear in his mind. “Oh, shit.”
“What? What is it?” Shadow scrambled forward, latching slightly sharp fingers onto Vio’s shoulders. “What did you do to me?”
“It’s actually ‘what did I do to us’, I’m afraid."

    ---

Vio manages to bring Shadow back to the light world, but a small mistake leads to a terrible fate for more than just the two of them... or, an opportunity to strengthen the ties that bind.

    Uncanny

He got the feeling that there was something not-quite-right about Four. He got that feeling about Time, a little bit of wariness around Hyrule, too… he couldn’t quite place why. There was something a bit different about the colors of their spirits and the way they held themselves, and like with most things Wind didn’t understand, he figured he would learn the truth someday.

There was something uncanny about him too, after all.

    ---

Four, Hyrule, Time, and Wind all have something not-quite-Hylian about them. Fae ancestry, blessings, curses, and Deity ties all make them different, in ways that only they can recognize...

    Summary

The important thing, Crowley tells himself -- the most important thing -- is Adam, his brilliant, creative, empathetic nephew. Being fourteen's hard enough on its own, the kid didn't ask to deal with the weight of the world on top of it.

And if taking care of Adam means Crowley has to tough it out at a job he can’t stand, so be it.

And if Crowley's job means that Adam’s charming English teacher is NOT a romantic possibility, well, that's just how things go.

But the occasional drink with Aziraphale proves hard to resist. They frequent the same pub, so who can object to them saying hello? Briefly sharing a table? Perhaps a little conversation? The painful knowledge that it can’t be anything more -- not without somebody getting fired or sued or both -- well, that can't be helped.

Until Crowley stumbles onto a terribly reckless idea...

A Case in Sumaru City [Final Edit]

Up and coming ‘detective prince’ Goro Akechi has come to Sumaru City to aid in investigating a series of gruesome murders. Solving a case, chasing down a murderer, unraveling a mystery is usually no problem for a genius like him- too bad the son of his host, Akira Suou, is a mystery he cannot solve.

[6/22/19 Update: Final Edits and clean up done.]

    A Journey To You

The events of Sumaru City might be over, but before anything can progress there are some things to get over first. For the Suou’s it’s dealing with the traumatic past of their family. For Goro, it's navigating the new maze of a conspiracy theorist and operators he’s been integrated into. For the Masked Circle, it's just adapting to life outside of high school...

But there is one thing Akira knows for certain, that the first step to getting over it, is getting the hell out of Sumaru City. Whether Tatsuya and Jun like it or not.

"James had been betrayed before and it had hurt, but somehow Q’s betrayal hurt so much worse, cut so much further into his being that it would have been hard to breathe had he not been so angry. Q had lied to him. Q had kept far too big of a secret from him. James couldn’t trust him anymore, not even in the smallest capacity."

In other words, Q and James fall in love and have to try to make it work with one hell of a secret that hangs between them and enemies who have no idea what they're dealing with.
